What Software Do You Recommend? 2009-12-28 23:22:49 Reply

Does anybody know some awesome software on the internet (free or not free, doesn't matter)?
Of course, free would be much better. I need to know some really good, useful software (and not antivirus/spyware software or anything related to that). Something for your own creativity like Photoshop or FL, but even better.

Forgot to mention Reaper is a free trial for 30 days, and then you have to buy a license.

These are the software that i recommend you to download. Most of them are Very useful utilities that can help you on some situations like:

If you're having problems uninstalling a program:

Use Revo Unistaller

If You need to Rename a massive amount of files :

Use Flash Renamer 6

Need a Pc optimizer?

Use Advanced System Optimizer

Wanna Create 3d Models?

Use Cinema 4d

If you want more just tell me :)

7zip - Compressing/Decompressing tool. Covers almost all compression types, and is free.
MediaCoder- Video and audio transcoding. Decent little program.
Audacity- The greatest free audio editor out there. I doubt you haven't already heard of it.
Inkscape- Vector Graphics editor, on par with Adobe Illustrator.
GIMP- An excellent open-source image editor. As useful as Photoshop, after you've had a bit of practice.
Pivot- Stickfigure animator. Fun to play with for a bit.

Just a few off the top of my head.

Google Chrome won't be the best until they get a good AdBlock AND NoScript.

I second this, and I'll throw in Tag&Rename. It isn't free, but it's a great program for organizing your music. No, that name isn't a link. I'm too lazy. Google it yourself.

Well if you want to burn films to DVD I recommend using The Film Machine and IMGBurn.

With The Film Machine it allows you to put multiple selectable subtitle tracks on the DVD as well (provided you acquire the srt files) and it retains the quality of the video while not increasing the size of the disc above what it should be.

Nothing can get better than the Adobe products. You should try out the Flash CS4 trial, it's on their website.

You thoroughly answered my question. That's what I needed. I'll check these out. The only one I know from these is Audacity, but don't know the rest. You're right about Audacity. It is the greatest free audio editor; I use it all the time.

Not necessarily. What I want is really a list of great new software that you have used or heard of, which you can use either for 3d animation, photo editing, music or video editing.

This is a fucking joke! Don't ban me!
