A Christmas story.

Why is it that people seem to think this is some secret treasure only them and their family knows about?

Every year I have some idiot tell me about a really great old movie their family owns on VHS that they watch every year called... A Christmas Story! Or someone will say "You'll shoot your eye out!" At which point I will say "A Christmas Story." Then they respond, "What? How do you know about that movie?!"

Oh, I don't know, maybe the bin load of DvDs of it for five bucks at the entrance of Wal-Mart, or maybe the 24 hour marathon that comes on TBS every year. Or the fact that someone like you talks about it every year, or maybe that I have watched it every Christmas since I can remember, and so has every other American Family.

I know this seems like a pretty trivial subject, and it is. It's just that every year I hear at least four people talking about this hidden gem of a movie only they know about. Well, yeah, I guess this is nothing more then a rant, share your opinions below.

Wow, I've actually have a had a conversation like that before. I thought the same thing.
Last year when they were showing the marathon on TBS I was flipping through the chanells and that was on, and my cousin was like, "Oh my god! I love that movie! Have you ever seen it? I haven't watched it in YEARS!"

It was baffling.

It's like a Christmas staple, plus TBS broadcasts it EVERY YEAR FOR 24 HOURS starting at 7:00 PM Christmas Eve.
