Xbox live arcade

Hey, i just bought everything i needed to start xbox live. (router, headset exetra) and i just got some arcade points, and im wondering witch arcade games i should get. So far i think Marvel vs capcom 2 looks the best, and also castle crashers. Think im gonna get both of those, But i would appreciate recomendations to the best arcade games and why you think i should get them.

Get 'Splosion Man'. Its an excellent game and its actually pretty addicting. It's my best XBLA game so far.

Ignore this, Splosion Man is terrible.

-Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix
-Battlefield: 1943
-The Dishwasher:Dead Samurai
-Trials HD (People say it's good, I don't like it personally)

There are some freebies you should check out too

-Dash of Destruction (At the very least a free 200 gamerscore)

You'll also want to note that right now the 7 Days of Savings are going on in the Xbox Live Marketplace, meaning that each day before Christmas a special 24 hour deal is offered. Unfortunately, you've just come at the 6th day. Today's deal is some sort of Uno game.

As for Shadow Complex you might want to decide if you want that or not quickly, there's a deal right now for this week only where the game's 33% off.

You can log onto the top Xbox Live Marketplace and look at Top Rated and Top Downloaded games.

My personal suggestions:
Peggle - Simplistic yet addictive
Castle Crashers - Yes it has links to NG, but it really is one of the best games on XBL and is the highest rated.
Worms - A classic fun game that can be frustrating but if you win, very rewarding.
Shadow Complex - It's a very good game in Metroid/Castlevania style but not much replay value
Uno - So addictive. You can use your avatar, vision cam, mics, etc to play Uno with your friends online. They also have a variety of decks to spice things up. It's a relaxing game that is surprsingly really fun.

no. braid fails. it's a game where the average person has to look up a guide for. the good thing about it is the story which you can look up online

You really shouldn't need a guide for braid. It takes 5-10 minutes maximum to figure out what to do. Why would you buy a puzzle/platformer if you're too damn lazy to use your head and think for a minute?

Braid is a great game, but it's short and has little replay value.

I've yet to see why Peggle is addicting. It's referenced and played everywhere on PC, XBL, and PSN.

On paper, it seems like your standard flash game... you shoot balls at pegs and they bounce down pachinko style into a bucket and you have to clear the pegs... It's incredibly straightforward, sounds like something I'd play on Newgrounds for a couple of hours

don't buy Golden Axe, you can complete it in 5 minutes...I learned this the hard way. I mean it's a good game just incredibly short as were all games from that era.
