Except for the long ass version of Lucid Dreams which was pretty awesome :D

FUCK. YES. I hope All Is Love gets nominated for an Oscar. In my opinion, Rumpus was the best song, but All is Love as the best chances IMO.

Depends on your taste. I found out this year that I had a very strong penchant for indie pop/folk music. And it was a very good year from that. Speaking of which, I also need to check out that new Daniel Johnston album...

You seriously do, they're absolutely stunning. Incidentally they've been supporting Florence + The Machine over here, which is pretty cool, though I couldn't get a tic to see them

I prefered the single version of Lucid Dreams tbh, while the outro was awesome, I just loved the pre-chorus in the earlier version, when it built up.

Incidentally, you should listen to Blood, it's like a remix album of Tonight FF.

I predict next year will be the rise of shoegaze and mathrock.

Actually, I'd like to tie my first position with Fuck Buttons and Grizzly Bear's new album "Veckatimest" - never had I heard such a beautiful mixture of psychedelic folk and blues.

You're fucking awesome eh. Monsters of Folk fan? Don't see that around here often on NG. Cool shit. Probably one of my favourite albums of 09, but not entirely. "Temazcal" is probably my favourite new song of this year, the best, lyrically.

I can't even think of what albums came out this year, all I know is I listened to a shitload of music, I can' t keep track anymore :(

2010 will be awesome for music.

Not listened to it, though I've heard the rave reviews from everywhere under the sun, what's it like?

Also at the moment listening to Drowned in Sound's Top 50 Albums of 2009 on spotify, there's a lot of shit I'd never listened to that I've completely missed this year.

So far these have seemed pretty neat:

Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix
The Pains of Being Pure At Heart - The Pains of Being Pure At Heart

1. No one's First and You're Next by Modest Mouse
2. Genesis Live 1973-2007 (Sort of cheating here, but still, it was released in 2009 atleast)
3. The Doors: Live in New York (Again, sort of cheating, but was released in November)
4. Nirvana: Live at Reading
5. Live at Woburn by Jimi Hendrix
6. Midlife: A Beginner's Guide to Blur
7.

Well, to be honest, that's all I could muster. I'm probably forgetting one or two. Except for Muse's new album. I'm not forgetting that, it just sucked is all.

I just finished listening to Jamie T's new album and I got to say, I'll have to remove one item from my list and change it for this one, cause it was incredibly good!

Oh god, as far ads disappointments go, this one was by far the biggest one of 2009. I absolutely loved MM's 2 latest albums, but this one was garbage in comparison...

Guess I'd need to listen to it another time to be sure I'm not missing out...
