Is tobacco more expensive?

This past week I have noticed a price change in tobacco. Here's what price I used to buy it at and price increase:

12.5 gram used to be £2.74 now it is £2.85
25 gram used to be £5.55 now it is £5.68

So, have the prices gone up or is the shopkeeper ripping me off?

when I said 12.5 grams, then thats obviously plain tobacco, you can't buy 12.5 gram cigarettes

Tobacco has always been cheaper for me, a pouch of baccy will last me like a week, whereas a pack of cigarettes will last me 1-2 days! But it depends how much you smoke, and how fat you make them ;)

$30 for a decent Cuban discourages me so greatly that I travel out of the country so I can buy them duty free. That's a chunk of change out of everyone's pockets.

Where I live it's like $70 at most stores. But on the Indian reservation you can find cigarette cartons for $35. So I travel only about 10 miles to get cheaper cigarettes.

In Holland, the prices are about EU4 a bag of tobacco, but I think you'd be able to get it cheaper by going to Belgium, not sure though.
But yeah, it's easy to get them illegal, they just get bought in Poland and such, by truck drivers who bring them here.
