If you're going to be making piano/ambient compositions, you should probably look into getting a better sounding piano and reverb. IMO

A better sounding piano will probably require an investment, but I'm sure there's some free alternatives that at least don't sound like FL keys, most likely in soundfont form. Actually, I'm pretty sure there are nice sounding free piano soundfonts, but none come to mind atm.

There are some nice sounding free reverbs aswell, SIR convolution reverb comes to mind, although I don't use it, I've heard good things about it.

Mhmm.. xKore, when I compose my music. I tend to never let the term ''common'' come to mind. Instruments are instruments. I used FL keys, because it suited exactly what I was going for when it came to my story I written. You seem to only not be familiar with the depth of my song, because you are too wore out on FL Keys. Try to look past it as FL Keys, look what the keys represent. I don't knwo.. It's just my take on sounds, I just express myself. Instruments are just my paintbrushes to paint my world.

Thing is, FL Keys is an absolutely terrible sounding piano synth and your songs will sound objectively better if you use something different.

#4 This sounds fairly original, it's got a strange structure and a quite dull mix though.

#1: I've heard better Hip-Hop on here but I've heard a lot worse too. Beat was so sick but didn't really feel the flow on the vocals though. EQing on them wasn't the best either.

#2: AMAZING BASS WORK! Heavy as fuck! It just sucks the WIP got the top 5 spot instead of the finished track which I hope will be here soon.

#3: Unimaginative melodies, standard instruments and simple composition. Mixed a little better than most of those stupid dance songs that always make top 5 though.

#4: Pretty standard trance sorta' stuff. Thought it has some alright melodies done with that guitar though.

#5: This was sick. Absolutely great melodies and harmonies in this, cool bouncy beat and it's mixed pretty well too. Really feeling some of the VG tracks that have been hitting the top 5 lately. None of them have been a let-down so far.

I got the top 10 on the weekly 30, it surprised me tbh, I didn't know what day is was.XD
This is my 11th song to hit the 30 board, I find that if I watch the boards before, or if I even think about the top 30, not a single song will make it.

It just has to be a surprise.

I liked gravey's song btw.
