I MADEZ IT! first time.... but ya if you guys could write some critical reviews id love it :)
im still flabbergasted how mediocre music always makes it.
(with mediocre i dont mean the music sucks, i really do have respect for the makers but theres so much better music out there)
First time one of my songs hit weekly top 5 aswell. It made this grey autumn day a tad brighter! :)
My first song on Newgrounds and I made it Im so proud of myself
I have to say i like the first submission alot! (This coming from someone who doesnt like HipHop much.)
And congrats to the ones who got on the Top5.
Also on the sidenote i got on the Top30 wich is actually also nice :)
Yeah, I was really surprised at my #5 in the top 30. Really happy about that.
What's more prestigious, #1 on top 5 or top 30?
It's equally awesome imo! You stay in top 30 way longer than in weekly top 5 I think, though. Had a song on there and it stayed for a couple of weeks if I remember correctly.
It's really lame the way some people feel compelled to 0 everything with a higher score than their own entry just to get a weekly feat.
1. Oh God, so much cheesy squeaky stuff going on here. I dun like.
2. Funny tune :P, I feel as if I am on a ship, sailing though the ocean.
3. Weird tune for me, not that creepy enough for Halloween.
4. Repeatative as hell.
5. Same as #4.
New tops, again!

Also, I see that {Runaway} has emerged in the top 30 once again, that must've been over a year.
Best top 5 we've had in a while... except for #2 lol.

Gotta' agree with you there man.
1: I've always loved pieces like this so I'm glad it got the top spot. Absolutely stunning imo.
2: Hurt my ears.
3: Actually made me laugh a bit. Produced nicely too.
4: This has a lot of melodic value, decent production too even though I found the drums a little weak. Durn's style is progressing nicely, I'd say he'll be making some pretty nice stuff in the months to come.
5: Great track to chill out to. Always loved my ambient stuffs so I'm glad this made the top 5 aswell.
Congrats guys.
I think #2 is the first NG song to actually make me cry. Thinking about lost loved ones always hurts me.

And with a glance to the top 30... Are we back in 2008? I see ParagonX9, I see {Runaway}, I see Rose at Dawn, and more.
Anyway discuss. :)
are you serious about the no.1?
its extremely boring if you ask me, sure it sounds good because the instrumentation's quality is good but as a composition its worthless.

I never listen to music with 'my subwoofer cranked up'
To me a subwoofer isnt for classical music but..that horrid thing called dance/club/trance/house/rap/whatever its called thats played in a basement. That wouldnt be music but monkey-rythm, like how monkeys poke sticks in holes for ants or something, music is supposed to be taking you on a stroll, i really dont get how people can drink coffee, energy drinks and then even snort coke sometimes on top, then stand in a small space with 30 more people all mental out of the mind and listen to lownoise and rumbling on repeat.
Seriously, there does not any worse kind of unhealthy behavior.
Appart from all that..
Its still orchestral, and a boring one..
Appart from that..
No form of classical should need a subwoofer.. true classical is the power of low volume.

That is bull and you are just as incredibly close-minded as you have always been.

My thoughts exactly.
Also, a subwoofer can also be used for classical music, because you know, there are instruments that play in the bass range. A subwoofer is merely for pumping out those lowest frequencies regular speakers can't give you.
I like it when music takes full advantage of the whole audible spectrum.

"I never listen to music with my speakers turned on, that's garbage!"

This song deserved a Top 5, so I 5-bombed it everyday. Good thing it wasn't all for nothing.
