funny thing is, we were doing a current even article on technology and it has to be uber awesome and ect, ect...

well... turns out that popsci.com (popular science [awesome magazine]) is really filtered...
and it ALSO turns out that most my technologies i was looking up was either classified as " a game", "virus infested"...or my favorite, "porn"...

oh, that makes sense; a way they made new, cheap catalyst is porn...
hmm... i wank to it all the time, it just turns me on in everyway possible

do you guys go to a school where they're just anal about everything?
preferably about the internet

Yeah school filtration things are freakin retarded. They block harmless stuff like this for games when there arent games, yet i can go on Yahoo whenever i want, and a big icon on the left says GAMES.

Yeh, everyone's scared shitless that kids are going to look at porn, they block everything, including websites that you need to get work done! Seriously, don't they even look at the websites? It's like, they keep Channel 4's site unblocked (filled with games, and plenty of 18+ only areas), but they block airline websites, which is what we bloody need to do our ICT coursework!

My school puts pretty much everything on their filter list, even though we have an entire room of computers (that's a lot for a 1A sized school). My teacher tried to get on Walgreens's website on her break and was blocked by the filter, which is supposed to only keep us from porn (viruses and games aren't actually meant to be blocked).

Some of the filters in my school are ridiculous. You aren't allowed to access:

eBay (obvious reasons)
TinyURL and all the other URL shorteners.
Yahoo
Yahoo Answers
Any forum or message board
Newgrounds and all the other games sites

My school pretty much filters everything non eductational, but if you know a website, which i currently cant remember, you can get to any web page. Oddly newgrounds and youtube arent blocked kinda dumb.

My school uses websense. It blocks any site that is "fun" as well as blocking "personal networking and forum sites" (which is, to them, any site with articles that you can comment on), and "social networking" and other crap, which is just about everything else. They block Newgrounds too, but not as games, as an "adult site". Luckily, addictinggames isn't blocked.

When i was a Senior in High School i took a Sociology/Psychology class talking about cliques and people wanting to fit in and shit like that and i was doing my project involved the typical school cliques like Jocks, Preps, Gangster, Punk, Goth, Emo kids and etc. So when I'm getting pictures i type in Punker and i get pictures but when i tries to access them the school had it blocked as "Militaristic/Extremist/Terrorist" content. I type in anarchist i get the same shit but it wouldn't even let me see pictures...now i type in gangster i get "Weapons/Criminal Activity" before i saw the pictures...so I'm like fuck it and write "Taliban" and i get pictures of people with fucking RPG's Machine Guns and Bombs and shit like that and it even let me into a website that had pro osama bin laden content in it

Exactly, it's the only legit picture you could use but it's blocked. It's funny how I can't go on Newgrounds or obvious porn sites but I was able to Google hentai on accident while trying to find a cartoon of a smiley giving the thumbs up.
