Did you know we were like, SO CLOSE to having LaLa on our iPhones?!

Ok, check this out.

LaLa is a music streaming site that has tons of songs in it's library. For like a TINY membership fee, you can have all their songs available for streaming online anywhere, and you can even make a streaming library for no extra!

Cool, huh?

Well, you might propose that one might try to "cheat" by using the Wi-Fi on his iPhone to just access music from the site? Well, no, that's just a hassle, because you have to go to Safari, then go all the way to the page, then find the song you like in the library, then you can stream it. So, no, most people just bought music from iTunes like everyone else, or used LaLa to download MP3s to put there.

Well...

LaLa was about to Lanch it's new App, that would make it possible to, instead of pay for each individual song, just pay a monthly fee and get all the songs.

Great idea, right?

Yep, Apple has bought LaLa. Say bye bye to that loophole.

To add more to this thread, just what the fuck you you think Apple's gonna do with LaLa in their possession, anyway?

Will they add LaLa's features to the iTunes store?

I'm sick of Apple personally; I bought about $20 of songs off iTunes presuming I could use it with an alternative audio player (because iTunes is slow as shit), but thanks to the genius invention of DRM, I simply couldn't. Just do the easy thing and torrent your music. It's much easier than using Limewire or buying from iTunes. Apple will probably just completely eliminate LaLa so they can introduce proper streaming on iTunes.
