And I failed to list my genre. *sigh*

D&B, or dubstep. But most likely D&B. When's the deadline for the first round?

I think i might use this song for the first round.

I'm still working out all of the little kinks it has. But i think it could do pretty good.

This sounds fun. I think i might make something classical or videogame, but then again, I don't really have control of what genre i will make next. I sort of just make anything :o

Whoa, one night (one day for all you non-Europeans) and it made it to page 3 O.o. Anyway...

At 12/8/09 09:43 PM, I-Saved-The-World wrote: i wasnt sure if you guys had a list, so i figured i would halp by making one :

Thanks a LOT for doing that. You didn't really need to since we were going to do it ourselves, but you saved us loads of time, so thanks a lot for that! :D.

At 12/8/09 03:55 PM, Envy wrote: I can get you 1/20th of a song in 2 weeks. But I'll try anyways.

Lets see if you can still make awesomeness in that small amount of time >D.

At 12/8/09 05:05 PM, SessileNomad wrote: i think there making a separate thread for each round

Nah, I think it wouldn't make any difference if we stay with the same thread. It'd help for the people who bookmarked this thread. There will be a new thread announcing the winner of the whole thing though.

Also, to clarify; once we reach 32 or 64 participants, we'll start. What do you guys say, do we go for the big 64 or stop here?

You think rather highly of yourself, don't you ^^.

Now seriously, to anyone who's posting their songs now, you MUST repost your song (or post another version) once I announce the deadlines for each round, to avoid confusion. In other words, any posts to your submissions to the contest before I announce the deadlines (i.e. before the contest reaches 32 or 64 participants) don't count.

--

Alright, to summarize what I said above:

I-Saved-The-World saved the world.
Envy's complaining.
Who wants to keep going to 64 participants and who wants to stop at 32?
Any links to your submission before I announce the deadlines for every round will NOT BE COUNTED.

I think I'll give this a shot. As long as the deadline isn't too soon :P

I'll probably submit dnb or dubstep.

Alright, Darklight17 and I have come to a conclusion for the number of participants for the contest. We'll go for 64. Originally we were going to go for 32, but once we saw that 32 was already skipped, we didn't want to put the last participants' hopes down, so we thought 64 was best. (Not to mention the fact that good old Darklight sent another 50 invitations :P). We'll really appreciate it if you all spread the word of this, so we can get to 64 as quickly as possible ;).

Also, if you all have fun in the competition, maybe we can host this contest again next year; what do you say?

GROUP 2

1)

This is my updated list. This does not include anyone who has not CLEARLY stated they would like to participate. If i missed you on the list, please, by all means flail and scream.

In my opinion, group 1, now that it has 32 members, should start ASAP. The reasoning for this is that you wanted to have 2 weeks for production time. The users have now had 1 day (yesterday) plus however long it takes before this actually starts, plus 2 weeks for their first submission. And in my opinion, the final week should have the most production time (3 weeks, as you stated).

But this doesnt mean i dont want 64 people. If we can get another 32, by all means we should start another group. Maybe when group 1 finishes, and has a winner crowned, they can face off against group 2's #1?

It would be an epic finale :)

anyways -- just a though. do as you wish, its your competition :)

Wtflolnoob sent me a PM asking if he could join - he didn't post here since he has a forum ban - that's why I decided that 64 was better, since we had passed 32 when he sent me the PM.

Alright then, that's a great idea! This means everyone in I-Saved-The-World's list can start posting their submissions now. You guys are now Group 1.

Group 2 will have wtflolnoob along with any future participants, and once they reach 32, the winner of group 2 goes against the winner of Group 1.

HERE ARE THE DEADLINES FOR GROUP 1 (note that there will be intervals of 2 days between each 2-week round for the judging process):

Wednesday 23rd December - Round 1 complete
Friday 25th - JUDGING PROCESS - 16 participants left.
--
Wednesday 8th January- Round 2 complete
Friday 10th - JUDGING PROCESS - 8 participants left.
--
Wednesday 24th January - Round 3 complete
Friday 26th - JUDGING PROCESS - 4 participants left.
--
Wednesday 9th February - Round 4 complete
Friday 11th - JUDGING PROCESS - 2 participants left
--
Wednesday 2nd March - Round 5 complete
Friday 4th - Teh Judgement Day - Winner announced

In other words, GET PRODUCING - and if you don't make it for the deadline, it means you forfeit. Remember, no remixes, no collabs. Good luck to everyone!

NOTE: I'LL BE ANNOUNCING THE OPPONENTS EITHER TOMORROW OR FRIDAY.

I would feel sorry for the loser if I had won, as they would have to review 163 songs.
