Identifying Kay guitars

Hello, I have a Kay guitar, and I've searched high and low to find out what type it is, but I simply cannot. It's from the 60s (I think) and I got it from a friend. I took it to Samuel music because of a loose connection inside it, and they said they'd never seen anything like it. I don't have a picture, unfortunately, and I can't take one because it's in Effingham being fixed.
