Looking for a Choir VST. No cheap ones. Realistic only.
The ones in FL Studio (Sytrus) have to much of a delay.

Thanks

It's going to cost you.

For realistic word building, go to soundsonline.com for Symphonic Choirs.

For more realistic legato but no word building, go to VSL's Choir page at www.vsl.co.at. Not sure if it's released yet.

If you think Sytrus has too much of a delay you may have some issues :p

It has a good sound but it takes to long to attack. I need something faster.

Can't you reduce the attack time in Syntrus?

Well, by Syntrus you mean Sytrus then yes, you can reduce the attack time, but it dont do much. I see where you're coming at, the delay aint for me either.

If you want a free, though time consuming, result you can always just sample sytrus and cut the waveforms to fit.

samples + effects

fl studio actually comes with some decent choir samples already. just take one of those, whichever suits your key and melody best (some samples are higher or lower or faster or slower than others) then put an eq on it, drop the midrange frequencies a bit, add a chorus effect and a reverb, and voila. You have a great sounding choir with no delay at all and a harsh attack.

If you want to change the attack time so the choir comes in faster, just go on the volume envelope of Filter one and configure it to something like this:

Do you think it would be intelligent to buy both? Since many like the word building, but prefer the sound of VSL's choir.

its female ones are pretty good though

Thanks guys, I will probably try that.

As for the choir in FL Studio, they don't have any reverb. . .

I have but it sounds soo fake. There isn't a wide variety in notes either. I can use notes about 3 up and 3 down. Any further sounds fake. . .

The suggestions I mentioned are what you want, if you have the cash.

However, if you are looking for real choirs for 0 money, stop looking.

I really like Reverb.it from Silverspike (...think it's just silverspike.com). Great set of preset reverbs and highly tweakable. Great for vocals including choirs ... just my 2 cents

Forgot about that one.

There's also Symphony of Voices from Spectrasonics which I STILL use even though I have EWQLSC.

I agree that magnus choir is great for female choir.. not for male choir though - and most of their presets suck - but that one filtered down.. ahh.. heavenly..

Don't use FL to mess around with EWQL. There are very few people here that are adequately prepared for that kind of bull. I know MaestroRage uses that combo almost exclusively, but he's a rare gem. If you want realistic choir samples, EWQL and Cubase is the only way to go. Word-builder will integrate smoothly into Cubase.

Nathanallenpinard is right on the money with Symphonic Choirs. It's pretty much everything I've ever wanted in a true complex and high quality choir VST. Simply amazing stuff can happen with it.

I can vouche for it as I use it and many other East West products.

I'm going to go ahead and say DO NOT go with EWQL choirs. It is an outdated product. The word builder will not sound as good as you hope it will and it lacks the up-to-date legato tech of newer choir libraries as well as other dynamics control options - lots of noticeably awkward sounds even in the demos on their site.

Check out 8dio's Requiem Pro or Cinesamples' Voxos. They both sound stellar and have similar features.

http://8dio.com/?btp_product=requiem-pro

http://cinesamples.com/products/voxos/

I use Voxos but I hear only good things about Requiem as well.
