I Need Your Name For My Flash Game!

It's simple really. I'm making an experimental flash game which requires the recordings of not 1, not 2, not 3, but 120 people recording themselves saying their own name. No prerequisites required. All I need is your permission to use the recording in the flash for free.

Steps:

1) Using a microphone, record yourself saying your real name or even just your Newgrounds alias. You can say it in any fashion you want, the only thing you might want to watch out for is being too loud.

2) Send the recording in .wav or .mp3 format to [e-mail]

You will be credited for contribution in the flash of course!

About the Game:
Working Title: The Path We've Taken

This project is very exciting for me because even I am not able to really classify what kind of game it is. It can be musical but in other ways its very visual. It is at once intellectual and also visceral. It toys with your senses and asks you to relax but also extend yourself in ways that you don't usually in games. It does not penalize, but really it does not reward in the sense of compensation for effort (Though it will have medals). At its heart, it is a game about you, the individual, your perceptions of the world in which you live, and about finding the "path" that brought you to this point, or whatever point is currently stalling in the static of your psyche. It has no goals but it tells a story. Your Story.

Sounds simple right? Right. My aim is to build a game that is both an enjoyable experience and also tries to effectively address everything I put in that sort of paragraph.

Obviously these are alot of voices, and no I don't expect to get 120 voices from newgrounds but since newgrounds has always been there to accept my wacky experimentations, I figure I should give back for what will be far my waskiest one yet. Thanks guys!

Well I won't give the exact details but I will that the beginning of the game revolves around sound and names are just words/sounds we give to things, so it's sort of really the blurry line between what we hear and what we see in our minds, even ideas we usually connect with something visual. What would be really cool is if I could get the recordings to join overlap in a chorus effect.

I'm not sure if that will happen because everyone will be saying something different so the sounds will probably just interfere with each other instead of blending together but see how it goes. I would send you a recording but I have no good microphones. Good luck with your game.

So yeah in my mind this is a very big project and what I'm asking for from you guys is only a small part of it. There are 2601 symbols requiring collision detection and the recordings of these names are only going to be used in 120 of them. That said, I'm going to try to have it done by the end of the school year. I'll let everyone who partcipated know by email when it gets released right away. Thanks for your recording btw.

I only have 3 as of now from ngers, would appreciate a little more newgrounds representation. It's a very simple process and you can use your newgrounds name if you're not comfortable with your real name being put into audio. I'm also going to be asking more well-known members for contributions so anyone who submits now will get to be in a game alongside some most likely big names (possibly ng admins, mods, well known submitters to Newgrounds, etc)
