On the back there should be a mall hole or button that has the word "reset" near it. Depress it for several seconds and your router should revert to all its out-of-the-box settings.

Are you hard wired to the router? If so, you probably wouldn't notice a short disconnect in the internet connection.
As a router is not software, and windows comes with all the software required to connect to a router already, there is no real "installing" or "uninstalling" a router. There is "resetting" the router. To then access the router settings you generally have to type in "192.168.0.1" at which point you'll be prompted fora user name and password. The default values can be found here. From here you can change the router password, as well as tweak other options - like the wifi password so your ps3 can connect.
For clarity on the above. The router password and the wifi password are different things. The router password allows you access to the router settings. The wifi password allows you access to the internet (through the router) via wifi signal.
Most wireless routers have no wifi password by default. So, if your router really did reset, your ps3 should be able to connect through it to the internet.
If you're still having trouble. Try using the reset button while the router is off. Turn the ps3 off as well. Power both back on, and see if it works.

You need to hold it down for roughly 10-15 seconds. Most, if not all, routers will go back to default settings if you hold it down long enough.

Heh whoops.
You'll have to type that in the url bar of your web browser.
