Well this isn't exactly flash but it is almost linked to it :P
So I was wondering how to make a .gif icon for your submissions look good and not like decolorized or dotty.

I turned it back into a jpeg, resized, then exported into GIF at a high resolution.

The 46 x 46 icon is now a low file size and less grainy.

Well I'm guessing you made that on flash. You should get a different program because flash really wasn't made to create images. Ink Scapeis a free program that only exports to images from vector drawings so I think you should be able to move over a graphic from flash then export it although I haven't tried this. Or you could get a raster based program like photoshop and use the print screen button or copy/paste the graphics over. Gimp is free but not as good as photoshop obviously. Here's a list of other Art Programs > Art101's list of Art Programs, there are a many other art programs that could be useful to you.
