He said peppers don't count....
The majority of spicy foods are spiced with peppers so this thread is redundant.
From what I found on Google...
The hottest chile (pepper) is from Northeastern India and is named the Bhut Jolokia (which translates into "Ghost Chile") and also called the Naga Jolokia (King Cobra chile), and many other regional names in Asia.

There are these little granules you can buy that look like salt but a single granule is the hottest food item on the planet.
Nope. Habaneros are like third in class from hottest. Then comes scotch bonnets. Then comes jolokia. I have a hot sauce twice the strength of jolokia. The hottest sauce (which is really just the pure chemical form of the hot chemical called capsiscin) is 16 million scoville, which is around 16 times hotter than the jolokia. Scotch bonnets are 100,000 scoville, habanero's are 50,000, and jalepenos are 5000. Bell peppers are 0. I learned this a year ago here in a thread talking about some hot sauce a guy bought.
Strychnine and cyanide. A healthy part of this complete breakfast.
Most spicy food involves peppers.
This thread cancels eachother out.
End.
Define "food." GiantDouche is right.
If it's 99% peppers, is it food?
If it's 98% peppers, is it food?
If it's 97% peppers, is it food?
