I've had maybe 3 xbox hard drives die on me over the years. Worst part is having to buy another overpriced piece of shit only to have it die again.

hmm, this is very odd.

I bought an 8GB stick and I found an old broken but working Xbox pad so I can finally do stuff like watch Netflix, I bought The Wolf Among Us, I'd heard it was quite good (some saying better than TWD's first episode) so I didn't even bother with getting the trial, and buying stuff sure is an easier decision to make now that I can actually see exactly how much something is going to cost me.

Played a bit of that, only earnt about 10G so far.

I'll maybe get back to you on that. If I do bother with the multiplayer, which I actually forgot it even had, it probably wont be until I'm done with the single player.

Think about it, Dean... Shade and I could be your Krogan bodyguards, headbutting anything that so much gives you the stink eye. Or hammering, if I play as Klobbert.

Got 125g from GTA V for solving the Leonora Johnson mystery, getting 100% completion, and finishing all waves on a survival map online. Only single player achievement left to do is the remaining Under the Bridge challenges.

Got out my old HDD and played some GTA Online and got 25G. Man this is fun. Makes me wish I didn't have to work so much.

But for once I'm really treasuring my time spent gaming seeing as there's so little of it now, makes it much more enjoyable.

I think that San Andreas is overrated as hell. Not a bad game by any means, but certainly not the best GTA, that title goes to Vice City. Granted, V isn't perfect, but it's a really fun game and it deserves all of the records that it has set. Not much to say about V otherwise as it has simply ditched most of irritating things from the other games, and improved the good things a lot more.

I'd elaborate some more but I'm tired and I have a headache. Speaking of GTA V, got some more cheevos including 70 gold mission medals, surviving a bounty for a day, clearing a gang attack with no deaths and robbing every store.

Fucking why. Vice City sucks balls in just about every conceivable way. Fuck that game for reals. My favorite is still either IV or SA.

GTAV is probably the best for messing around in, but the story is short and flat, and there's an ocean of annoying shit present. The guns and aiming in general absolutely sucks in single player, worse than IV and RDR which is bizarre. Like the camera just dicks around the place when you just want it to snap to the next guy.

When you're driving none of the NPC cars fucking use indicators or follow any driving laws. They must be programmed to just pull out in front of you, drive in the wrong lanes and randomly speed up or slow down when you get close. I'm sure this is some super clever joke about the drivers in LA but fuck me it's some annoying bullshit.

There's a lot of smaller things but the main problems are the shooting/targeting and driving, and in a game about driving and snapping to the next guy that's some serious bullshit. It's okay but definitely doesn't deserve the insane level of hype.

I worded that sentence horrifically. I meant to say that I will ask to be removed from the list soon rather than stay in the spot of shame eternally.

Beat MGS3 and started Peace Walker, which right now is probably my least favorite Metal Gear game. I'm stuck on mission 7, where you have to fight a tank. No idea how you're meant to do this, it looks like it'll take about 30 rockets to kill and it just blows the shit out of me within seconds. I hate this game.

I don't know how, but my brother's dog managed to unpause my game of Fallout 3 sometime after I left to grab a snack. When I came back, my character's companion had already been fucked up to unconsciousness by none other than a Deathclaw, with the demonic bastard eyeballing me next. I could only stand there frozen, trying to piece together what the fuck was going on, only to turn and see Bama (dog's name) laying next to my controller on the couch. So naturally I lunge for my controller and equip my character's shotgun, blasting the Deathclaw's face with two VATS shots (not without taking a swipe or three though).
I'm more amused than pissed by this, honestly. Though I will get back at Bama for this.

Also I beat Arkham City recently. Fucking fantastic game there.

Think I'm gonna try out GTA Online some more when I get home. It appears to be really low on my priorities currently, despite the fact that I was very excited for it. A mixture of 9-5 work 5 days a week, a couple weeks not having a working xbox and somehow having social events to attend on weekends have given me almost no time to even think about it. But I had a lot of fun when I played it on Sunday.

It's incredibly strange going from doing nothing but gaming for 3 months straight to not having really any time to play it even on weekends. As stale as it got, it was a lot of fun being able to just game constantly with no worries in the world. Now I always feel weird about playing games in my spare time, as there's not much of it and it makes it go excessively fast.

Any of you guys ever have something like this? I feel jealous as hell whenever I see any of my friends who are at college or out of education just staying up all night gaming and sleeping in the early hours of the morning, because I won't be doing that again for a very very long time.

It's weird how things work. I graduated in July and I still haven't gotten myself a job. I'd rather be working than sitting around twiddling my thumbs all day. I've had a couple interviews that came to nothing. Applied for or emailed places about jobs and didn't hear back from most. Closing date for one of the jobs I applied for was last week, still not heard back so I'll assume that's another one out the window. Currently applied for a trainee web developer job but the listing never had a closing date for applications and I see it's still being advertised. Hopefully I hear back from that.

At this point I think I'm just doing to contact one of the guys who's high up in the IT department at the local hospital and see if he'd be able to get me some unpaid work experience or something. At least that way maybe they'd take me on permanently after a while and if not it's something to put on a CV. No guarantee that they'd even give me a work placement though.

That's exactly how I felt, you go from one extreme to the other (doing nothing all week to working all week) and you want the other one back. That's why I enjoyed college, it was a healthy mixture. 3 days a week as well as some stuff to do outside of college and at home gave a lot of free time but things didn't get stale for me.

Yea, never thought I'd say this but I think I miss uni.

In more non video game related news I was asked by a band from a neighbouring town if I wanted to mess about with them on guitar last night. They're a cover band, made up of guys who I'd imagine are in their 40's. Two are bikers. I went along. I thought I was just going to mess about, they're actually wanting me to play a gig with them in December. I've never been a serious guitar player. I just play along to some of the punk albums I have and learned the songs by ear. So when I was playing with these guys last night I started playing one of the songs I know, the bass player recognised it and they loved it. I've now been given a small list of songs that they want me to learn for next week. Got a few of them down today. Thankfully it's nothing too hard to play but there's quite a mix of songs. From things like Stereophonics to Anti-Nowhere League.

It was like playing Rock Band only way cooler.

I've just become unemployed and now I have too much time on my hand to play games. When I was working I got 2-3 hours a night to play and I think it felt better because I made sure to make the most of it. Now I have 12+ hours a day where I can play games and I only really spend an hour or two in the evening.

I do volunteer work and it's really not all too bad. I actually like it thinking about it, it gives me a sense of purpose and fulfillment, and it makes me appreciate my free time, which is great. Still don't play any games though, had The Wolf Among Us for like a week, haven't really touched it though. I play GTA V a fair bit, but I'm usually on the Internet or Netflixing in my spare time.

I remembered that I have Rock Band 2 still and therefore am not completely incapable of playing Rock Band, so I started a new tour and managed to get 45G out of it from guitar achievements. Only other one I can get on my own is the $100,000 spent thing which I guess I'll get in time.

If you want help with any of the cheevos you have left, feel free to ask me. Speaking of Rock Band, I tried gluing my drum kit pedal back together today, but it only lasted for one song! I'm going to have to try and buy one from somewhere now. Plus, the buttons on my Stratocaster have finally given in, so now I've resorted to putting the neck of my PS3 Les Paul guitar into my friends 360 Les Paul, and I've been doing a lot worse as a result for some reason :S
