I accidently played too much Guitar Hero Metallica while I was away in Devon and now I suck at parts of Rock Band that I didn't used to and do better in parts I used to suck at.

I sort of know the feeling, I'm good at all aspects of guitar on RB, but I can do trickier guitar parts and solos with no problems on GH, but I can't do fast and alt strumming for shit. I just find the engine on GH really wonky and loose compared to RB.

Speaking of Metallica, I really should try and get that secret Fight Fire with Fire bass score cheevo sometime soon, but I don't like playing bass on GH games, the open strums are dumb in my opinion.

and yet i still can't fucking do antibodies

I believe it's the toughest on-disc song for guitar, seriously. Keep practicing that outro, you'll get the hang of it eventually.

It's crazy how there are impossible rated songs that I can GS on expert guitar and yet I struggle to get 4 stars on Antibodies which is Solid rating. It's just the damn technique I need to get. I'm way better at Llama than I was before, it's much much easier to 5* on Guitar than drums.

The play and charge kit doesn't let you do that. You can buy a wireless USB receiver that lets you use any wireless xbox controller with a PC. It's surprisingly hard to find an official one though, all the listings on amazon seem to be knock offs.

Second-hand wired controllers are about the same price as the receiver anyway, so you might be better off just getting one of those.

Looks like i'll need to pick up a wired controller then. Might end up using it as my main pad for the 360 as well since all my battery packs have failed so they all need to be plugged in to work.

Wireless controllers suck dick anyway.
They weigh a ton and drop out at the most awkward times.

Hence why the Rock Band Pro Drum Kit sucked major balls.

Note to self. Playing Mass Effect at a sluggishly slow pace is a really bad way to rack up quick gamerscore.

Got 40g from REvelations for scanning 15 handprints, getting to level 10 in Raid mode and beating a Raid mode stage 5 levels lower than the recommended level. I started the campaign on Infernal and it's plain bullshit, shoving 5 enemies (who eat bullets and are near impossible to daze I might add) together in every single cramped corridor with barely any ammo is a terrible way to increase difficulty. It's really testing my patience, and I dare say it's more challenging than CoD: World at War's campaign on Veteran.

Yeah stuff like that it is weird, doesn't help that RB3's on-disc guitar tiering is way off. Me Enamora and maybe Fly Like An Eagle should easily pass for a 4 dot rating, Beast and the Harlot should be in the devil heads tier and Sister Christian should be no more than 2 dots for example.

Llama is a right bastard on drums, I want to get as many drums challenges done as possible, but I can't play the song to save my life, it's way too fast me so getting 3 stars on it is out of the question for now.

Not to mention Lasso and Killing Loneliness have no right being Nightmare difficulty, maybe Solid at most.

That song took me about 1 year and a half to 5*. It was one of those songs where I just had to be in that perfect mind frame to play or I'd do terrible. Though towards the end of my last kit's life I was pretty good at it. It became rare for me to miss a note on that little intro.

antibodies update: i have somehow gotten worse at it

I've sorta got used to the weight now.

To be honest though, as long as the wired 360 controllers weigh more than the PS3 controllers i'll be happy. They feel like they could snap in half at any moment.

The analog sticks are also really clunky and uncomfortable I find. They also seem to get sticky way quicker than 360 controller sticks.

Downloaded Assassin's Creed 2 last night, spent a few hours today clearing up the misc. achievements and feathers to get the last bit of gamerscore I needed, so that's another completed game! It's still the best game in the series in my opinion, in fact, it's one of those games I wish I could experience the sheer joy of playing for the first time again. Also the soundtrack is incredible.

I agree with this, that piece of music at the beginning after you climb the tower with your brother is fantastic. But I must admit I wasn't nearly as drawn into it when I played it the other day as I was when I first played it. It didn't take long for me to get bored, which is a shame because I've always thought of it as one of my favourite games.

I think it's because they saw Sony give out Uncharted 3, Sleeping Dogs, Saints Row the Third, etc. and they got two games they played like 5 years ago.

They're not free games, they're bribes. I will not accept their handout to compensate for the monumental fuck up that is the Xbox One.

On one hand, people love to piss and moan about anything and everything. On the other hand, it's another perfectly justifiable excuse to hate on Gold subscriptions, as paying to play online and chat in parties with your friends is rather lame, regardless of what promotions they start up to try and sugar coat the deal.

I played some Black Ops 2 today and an angry Scottish bloke told me that I'm a "wee sheep shagging cunt who should cheating at CoD and grow up and stop playing faggy guitar games". It's not my fault I can consistently finish at the top of the leaderboard in almost every match I play, what a big fat meanie ;_;

lol. I get more frustrated at single player games. At least if I die on multiplayer I know it's usually because the other player is somewhat good at the game. On single player games though I can't help but accuse the AI of being designed to cheat. Like those god damn red bubbles at the end of Metroid. Fuck those things. Who do they think they are? Coming out of nowhere and ruining my chances against Mother Brain.
