I'm contemplating starting Borderlands 2 today. I've had it since Christmas but never had the desire to play it. I'm sure that would change if I played it but right now it's not really the sort of game I fancy. I'd like to play a new Fantasy RPG that I haven't before but I can't buy games at the moment so it doesn't really matter.

I literally have no care for Gamerscore anymore though. I like getting achievements and stuff but I don't pay much attention to them. Just the ones that come with new BF3 DLC really, and that's ended now.

I maxed all of my stats on Dark Souls, what am I doing with my life.

Got some extra gamerscore from it though.

Viking was a shockingly good game, I borrowed it off a friend way back and managed to beat it and get the 1000.

Bioshock Infinite. One of the biggest, most confusing disappointments I've ever played. What a fucking mess of a game. Absolutely no idea what the fuck that game was about. Good Lord. It's fucking Bioshock 1 with a confusing storyline. I didn't give two fucks about Elizabeth the entire game.

I broke 100,000 without knowing playing Ninja Blade.

To bad it didn't happen over a better game.

From what I've read and seen of the game, it seems to be the most overrated video game released since Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Played some Driver: SF with my friend before my trial expired last night, got 130g for reaching Level 38, finishing in the top 3 for sprint GP and classic races, and for passing through 1000 gates in checkpoint rush. All that's left is keeping the tag and relay for a certain amount of time, and capturing a flag 5 more times to get the full 1000g.

Anyone here play Gears of War? Would be great to team up instead of playing solo.

Depends on which one. I have 3 and still play it every now and then, but I prefer sticking to either the campaign or the non-competitive modes. I won't lie, I'm complete shit in the multiplayer for Gears.

The fact that Ninja Blade will make you fight the same boss twice to finish it is a really fucking annoying.

That is a miserable way to prolong the levels. Literally every single boss.

And this game has more QTE's than anything I have ever seen.

Judgment, I'm also quite bad at multiplayer - I stick to campaign and survival.

Hello everyone. It's been a tad long, but uhh, can the name on the leaderboard for Rude-Awakening be changed to this account? Felt like starting anew and whatnot.

Gaming wise, I got Bioshock pretty much when everyone else did, still wrapping my head around the ending, but I am just waiting to go through on 1999 mode, along with getting all the collectibles. Also, I am deliciously close to 75k.

Antibodies is my least favourite song to play, I just can't nail either of the different parts. It sucks because it's a pretty great song. I 5 starred Beast and the Harlot and Crazy Train since then though, I can do Rainbow in the Dark pretty well just I haven't 5 starred it yet, it's a fun song to play though. 25 or 6 to 4 is great fun too.

I also somehow haven't managed Fly Like an Eagle, I've come close but because it's a slower song with a lack of notes, it takes ages to get the score multiplier back up and I miss out on a lot of points.

But yeah we gotta play some time soon, been too long.

Oh and also, I decided to do a bit of achievement hunting and went through Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway the other day to get all the collectibles. Was about 100G in it which was pleasant. Haven't done any hunting in a while and it felt pretty good.

Think I might actually try and get some more achievements. Usually I don't care too much for achievements but since I'm playing through the Mass Effect trilogy and I've already beaten the first two games in the past, I might see if there's anything I can unlock without it causing too much hassle.

A copy of L.A. Noire - The Complete Edition arrived this morning as well. Again, I've already played through this in the past but never had any of the DLC. I'm probably going to try and get every achievement for this one because none of them sound particularly hard. I'm sure some of the collection achievements might get a bit tedious but I've really been wanting to play this game again for some reason.

I have no games of which I can play nor want to play. Whilst I excavated the gaping anal cavity that is Sniper Elite V2 (in a slow motion action cam no doubt), I cannot be fucked to do the same to Black Ops 2, so I guess my next course of action is to either:

- Borrow more games
- Sell currently borrowed games, in the hopes that their original owners forgot about them

In both cases, it's looking dire.

Borrowing Bioshock: Infinite from a friend. About an hour into it I think, but holy fuck this game is crazy. And so far I like it a lot.

Glad I decided to order that copy of LA Noire because I forgot just how much I enjoyed this game. I'm not even sure what it is that I like about, but it just stands out as one of the more unique and memorable that I've seen this generation. Think I got a few achievements from on the DLC cases which probably came to about 100G. I'll hopefully be investing some more time in it tonight.

If you borrowed games from me and did that, I'd be pretty pissed.

The cost of current gen games is partly why I collect retro games. Charging £40 for every new Xbox 360 game is a bit of a joke. Most of them (to me) don't come close to being worth that much. With current gen games, I tend to buy them pre-owned online or wait until a game has fallen in price before buying it.

Assuming you're able to look past the dated graphics and stuff, there are a lot of cheap older games out there that are well worth the money. Having said that, a lot of the more desirable titles out there do cost a fortune. I've found myself buying GameCube games that cost the same as a new Xbox 360 game would cost, but somehow it felt more justified because they're games with a great reputation.

No but I am joking. With the pricing of games, I just hope that prices will go down, what with more and more technology being developed to essentially destroy the used game market, and with publishers and games companies working towards one person having one copy and that copy only, no trading or borrowing or any of that good stuff. I hope something like the Steam sales gets adopted by Microsoft and by Sony, because I don't think I've downloaded a retail game from Xbox Live, mainly because they are taking the piss with the pricing.

I'm no expert on how the gaming industry works, but the way games are currently priced seems like bullshit to me. There seems to be a default selling price for new games. In the UK they always sell for about £40 which is about $60. You get the occasional game which start off with a lower price but I don't understand how every game basically sells for the same price. Not every game has the same budget. Not all games have the same level of production quality, yet they all seem to cost the same.

Given the massive profit that a lot of games seem to make these days, I don't see why they couldn't just lower the retail price. I suppose from a business point of view that might be a dumb thing to do since there are a lot of people willing to spend the current selling price. But there are people like me, who would have bought big games like Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops 2 but didn't because I didn't want to pay another £40 for another game that's probably a lot like the previous game in the series. Lowering the price might have convinced me to buy it, and I'm sure it would have done the same for other people too.

It pisses me off that publishers are making a backlash at pre-owned game sales too. That's bullshit. The reason people are buying games pre-owned in the first place is because they don't want to pay extortionate amounts of money for another generic game. This whole "online pass code" idea that EA seems to love really pisses me off too. What gives the video games industry the right to moan about the sale of used products when other industries don't?

I like them, I mean, your buy a used game and you access their servers which you've contributed nothing towards, so they make you pay $10,seems fair to me.

I would, but I'm really not fussed on Judgment to be honest. Campaign was rather boring although I do need to go through it on insane and get all of the onyx stars, and multiplayer is infuriating in its current state. I'll let you know if I change my mind.

I 5 starred Beast and the Harlot and Crazy Train since then though, I can do Rainbow in the Dark pretty well just I haven't 5 starred it yet, it's a fun song to play though. 25 or 6 to 4 is great fun too.

Antibodies is one of the toughest songs in the entire library to FC on guitar in my opinion. On my best run, I only missed twice, and one of them was in the middle of an overdrive energy phrase which hurt my score a lot, but oh well, still got them precious gold stars.

Agreed on 25 or 6 to 4, love that song. So far I'm the only person on my friends to have gold starred it surprisingly.

I also somehow haven't managed Fly Like an Eagle, I've come close but because it's a slower song with a lack of notes, it takes ages to get the score multiplier back up and I miss out on a lot of points.

It's a tricky and annoying under-tiered song to be fair!

But yeah we gotta play some time soon, been too long.

Got my gold renewed now, so just send an invite when I'm on or whatever. Also, I beat Mordecai, Obfuscation and Selkies on expert pro drums today, I'm pretty happy about that :3

Anyway, gamerscore related, got 105g on Driver: SF for reaching level 38, capturing 10 flags in CTF and holding the tag 50 times in Tag. Just need to hold the relay another 40 times in Relay Race, but it's an empty playlist in an almost dead game :(

Also got Sniper Elite v2 and played through it on co-op with my friend and got 440g. Just need to play through it solo on the hardest difficulty and get all of the collectables.

Finally, I somehow got this achievement from the Beatles: RB earlier...

It's gonna be a while before I get any gold stars on it but one day I'm sure

I've gold starred it on Drums but it's pretty easy. Lot of fun though. It's weird the difference I can see now between my skill on Drums and Guitar. I think I must have gold starred a good 75% of my library, including some of the toughest songs, and with Guitar there's less than 10 that I've got with Gold Stars, and some I still only get 3 stars on, which I'm not used to at all.
Still, practice makes perfect and I've been playing a lot.

No worries I got it now, just had to nail a few parts that give Euphoria and whatnot.

Man that's pretty impressive, you mean beat them without the rock meter falling to the bottom? Because that toms section in Mordecai is insane. And the 2 sections with the quad snares in Obfuscation. I love playing Between the Buried and Me songs on guitar and especially drums. Though I broke my sticks for the first time yesterday playing Obfuscation. No more drumming for me for a while, my kit is a complete mess.
