So I started Batman: Arkham City, but something about it just feels very off. It's a damn fine game, don't get me wrong, but there's just something that just doesn't feel right about it, but I'm not sure what it is :x
Also to my surprise, my grandparents ended up buying DmC: Devil May Cry as a present for helping them with various tasks around their house for the past couple of weeks. I really want to like the game, but it just feels really bland, Donte is an unlikeable cunt, and while I appreciate what they were trying to accomplish with the combat and weapon systems, it's just too clunky to control and stripped down overall to be fun.
Currently playing through DMD mode, on mission 7 now. It is sort of tough, but it's the bullshit cheap kind of tough difficulty. Fighting wave after wave of chainsaw guys with power armor and teleporting samurai warriors while avoiding the flying bastards with shields that spam the area with bombs becomes frustrating very quickly! Almost all of the enemies in this game are even more annoying to fight than DMC3's enemies, and that's quite the accomplishment. But hey, at least the bosses are a fucking joke!
Oh and while I remember, my friend was supposed to be lending me Deus EX: HR today, but he forgot to bring it home with him, I'll probably get it next week now instead.
Also, not having to use certain guns for certain assignments means I can use my G36C and M249 religiously again and by god they are magnificent.
Last time I played BF3, I got so mad at how awful the carbines seemed to be. I'm assuming DICE nerfed them for no good reason, as per usual. Guess I'll be going back to using my trusty SPAS-12 and Xbow when Endgame comes out next week :D
