I'm thinking I might start playing Borderlands 2 soon. I keep waiting for a time that I'm really craving a new game but I don't think I'm going to fancy playing it for a while so if I start then I'll get really into it and have some fun.

But seriously Battlefield I can't believe I didn't play it for so long I'm in love with it.

I've just got the last episode to go myself. Really enjoy it although the horrible frame rate and occasional stuttering can be rather annoying.

Also been playing Far Cry 3 recently. Really enjoying it although there are a few minor gripes with things such as respawning enemies. Story is rather good even if im only about 6 missions in.

El Shaddai is on sale for $2.99. That's 200MSP. Same with Dirt 2. And Might and Magic.

I think I'll buy all of them.

I hear Might and Magic is a really good bargain bin title, I think I might get it. Lovefilm has sent me Metal Gear Rising: RevengGAYTITLEence, I've heard it's pretty good, and I've been a fan since I was like 8 years old or someting, so I'm looking forward to getting to play that when I get back to my house, as I'm visiting my mum right now.

I've been playing Sniper Elite: V2, it's okay, I can only play it for maybe an hour at a time, it's got sections that seem like I should be sneaking through, but it's so much easier to just shoot everyone, it's not like there's a penalty for playing like that. Kinda dissapointed in it though, because I love sneaking, but there's no reason to and it seems kind of broken. I can never get the damn bullet travel time down though, it seems so slow compared to BF3. It's fun, but I'd only pay a tenner for it personally.

Far Cry 3 1000/1000g hooray!

I don't really like Lollipop Chainsaw, so I'm going to start Batman AC instead.

Probably going to buy The Darkness, Bioshock and Dirt 2 from that sale at some point as well.

Just got Mass Effect 3 and Resident Evil 6 today, so that'll lead to some more gamerscore for me.
Oh dear @Shade -ee Poo~, do you have RE6 yet as well?

I'm enjoying both Mass Effect 3 and Resident Evil 6, so far. Starting to reel in the gamerscore for ME3 in particular (partially because I've been paying more attention to it). The multiplayer in ME3 is a lot more fun and intense than I remembered in the demo, especially since I got the new Krogan Warlord from one of the free packs. Bashing stuff with his hammer is fun. Naturally, I named him Klobbert and shout IT'S KLOBBERIN' TIME with him frequently.
Also this happened to me.

Its nice to see a bit more activity around here. I've been playing some Metal Gear Rising: Revengence today, it's pretty fun, but the parry system takes some getting used to, but it's nice to see a beat 'em up do something different, the whole game certainly feels like Metal Gear, over the top action and serious topics, it's cool. It's a bit frustrating seeing Raiden do things like lift a 50M tall robot by the end of it's equally huge sword and throw it about, only to get my ass handed to me by 2 gekos and a handful of soldiers though.

I never knew how much fun slicing shit into bits could be. Slice a dude down the middle, slice him at the waist, his arms, his legs, slice, slice, slice, SLICE SLICE, SLICE, SLICE, SLICE! And all 500 hundred millions chunks of him fall as I grab his spine and procure it's healing capabilities like a fucking badass.

I bought Halo 4 like a month ago and I've hardly touched it, I really like the MP, but so far the SP isn't really doing much for me, I should dcefinetly play it more though.

I've fallen in love with the Spas-12 (again) in BF3, it's so good with slug rounds sometimes I don't even think it's fair, and I can only imagine the rage when I shoot someone from 50m away and land a headshot, giving me a quick kill, "BULLSHIT! HE'S SO FAR AWAY! HOW CAN A SHOTGUN HIT ME FROM THERE!?!?!". Your tears, they are delicious.

You ever try shooting C4 on/near a tank while using explosive rounds? It can have similar results when they see their tank was taken down by a shotgun in the killfeed. Birgirpall here shows it off best.

I used to be quite the fan of Birgirpall, but he's kind of drifted away from BF3 now, and I don't like many of his new videos (his old ones were great, the Operations especially), and I don't think you need explosives rounds, you can have any, I blew myself up on some friendly C4 just earlier on today because I wanted to see if it would, and I didn't think the blast radious was quite a big...

On to the last portion of MGS Rising and I've only just got used to the parrying and blocking system, but I still suck at it, I die all the time. The god damn fucking camera can be a huge retard sometimes, like I'll enter blade mode and the camera will just do a 180 and just fuck it all up, it happens way too often, but it's nothing a patch couldn't fix.

Lovefilm has sent me Tomb Raider, which is awesome because it's due out tommorow, so I'll hopefully have it by then. It's been WAY to long since the last Tomb Raider, way too long to reboot, it always had the potential to be awesome, but the last few games really killed the series, it's nice to see it take a darker path, I know alot of games do it nowadays, but I really like the whole dark and gritty feel. Reviews seem to have the general consensus that the game is quite good, which is brilliant. I remember back in the day, when I was like 6, playing Tomb Raider on PS1 and shooting at the butler, discovering secret rooms, going round the training course. Good times. Simpler times.

All these sales MS have been doing lately have done wonders to get me playing on the 360. You literally never, ever see sales like this.

Grabbed RSV and Fallout 3. I would have got Arkham Asylum did I no already own it, since £2.69 for Arkham Asylum is a steal.

Anyone know of any decent JRPGs. I'm yet to play any and I'm looking for a good starting point. I'm thinking Final Fantasy XIII but I'm sure someone knows of some better ones.

Final Fantasy XIII is one of the worst games of this generation imo, and besides that it's a horrible introduction to JRPGs anyway.

Lost Odyssey is probably the most standard JRPG on the console, often called the true FFXIII since it was produced by Hironobu Sakaguchi, and Nobuo Uematsu did the soundrack so obviously it sounds amazing. They also made Blue Dragon which I haven't played.

More:
Tales of Vesperia (can be expensive)
Resonance of Fate
Nier (mostly action)
Eternal Sonata
Star Ocean 4 (haven't played)
Last Remnant (hit or miss, better on PC I think)
Record of Agarest War
Enchanted Arms (haven't played this one, has decent reviews)
Infinite Undiscovery
MagnaCarta II

That's more or less the order I'd recommend them in, with Lost Odyssey at the top.

While not technically JRPGs, I highly recommend either Breath of Death VII or Cthulhu Saves the World! on the indie marketplace. Both are made by the same dev and resemble older RPGs that would be found on say the SNES, but Cthulhu may be a bit easier to get into, and I personally think it's one of the greatest and well-written indie games of all time as well.
Of course, the key-word here is "indie" game. No precious achievements for you here I'm afraid.

BUT YOU DON'T NEED THEM, MAN

If you don't mind me asking, what's so awful about FFXIII? You say it's awful (and I have no intention of saying it isn't just) but a lot of people have said that games I enjoyed are abyssmal (Game of Thrones, Duke Nukem Forever) but I still liked them well enough. Is it the combat? Leveling? Characters? Writing? I know for a fact it can't be graphics.

Just finished my first go through of Brutal Legend. Aside from some getting used to the driving at first, and the overly simple final boss the game was actually a lot of fun and had a plethora of great metal songs throughout it.

Considering you can get the game for like 3$ now, I really don't see any reason why everyone should go pick it up and give it a go.

I was playing with the Spas-12 with flechette like I always do because I thought they were great, but when I lost a head to head battle with another guy who had slug rounds who won easily from a long distance, I decided to try them for myself, and they are so wonderful. It doesn't seem fair at all. They work as a sniper if you want them to, and also at very close range. I do miss being able to kill 2 people with one shot with my flechette's on Metro, but that barely happened anyway so who cares.

I'm still very much in love with Battlefield now that my Xbox is at my dad's house and I can play it with no lag. Got a few achievements and even found the secret reptile without meaning to or looking at a guide which I was about to do. It's a very good spot for taking the objective and getting through to the other side unnoticed too.

Endgame very soon. Dirtbikes look fabulous.

It's 40 hours of running down a straight hallway, then a big ass field, then another 20 hours of hallway. There's no splitting paths, no overworld, just a straight line from A to B that just goes on and on.

The combat is balls, enemies are on a set path so there's no random battles which doesn't sound too bad but it makes you fight the same enemies over and over, with the battle being the exact same every time since you have to rely on the stagger system which has you boosting up this gauge with magic then dealing damage with physical attacks while praying the friendly AI doesn't fuck you over. Every single time it follows that same pattern, you're just sat there watching 3 characters flail their arms for a bit after every dozen or so steps down the hallway. If you don't carry out every battle in the exact same way you'll die.

There's no freedom in character customization, leveling in this game consists of opening the crystarium menu and holding down A. There's no choices, no branches, the ability tree is a straight fucking line. You can't even choose which characters to fight with until the last few hours.

The characters and character designs are ass, the world is ass, the art style is so inconsistent there's no chance of immersion, they're constantly pulling bullshit gadgets out of their asses for plot convenience like they're the god damn batman.

Basically, every single thing about this game is a straight line, you have to do everything exactly how nomura (I don't fucking care) wants you to. At least CoD changes things up frequently and only lasts about 6 hours, it doesn't just waste your fucking time with promises of getting better with just a few dozen more hours.

If you tell me what your new gamertag is then yea, I will.

CrashChaotic89. Dishonored is not a bad game just a little too tedious in some parts
