Nearly bought Nexuiz, as it's only 200 points but then I noticed it's actually not very good.

Bought Deadliest Warrior 2 instead, fun game with friends, especially lopping of their legs and watching them hop about as they bleed to death.

Anyway, seems like BL2 was way too short as far as achievement hunting went. Probably wont be able to add to my collection until after christmas without feeling like a selfish prick. Or at least until I pay up everyone elses gifts. Upside, a lot of people will be pawning shit off left and right at their local gamestop which will be fabulous for cheap game nabbing.

One of you was kind of on the fence about Far Cry 3. I think it was Jackho.

Agreed. They're always a bitch to get, especially if you're average-at-best at the game you're playing.
For example: getting a road-kill with a skid loader in Battlefield 3. Not exactly the easiest task, considering that most people won't stand still for you to run them down. Sure, you could go hunting for a camped up sniper, but enemy tanks, helicopters, and jets won't want to pass up on an easy kill (or vehicle destroy, at least) either.

Not to mention online achievements alienates those who only have a Silver account to play with.

That achievement is easy. Loads of soldiers just run about the roads, the only hard bit was getting the skid loader in the first place. Just drive around for a while, you wont get a very good K/D depending on how long you take but it's not like that really matters.

Still seems difficult for me whenever I attempt it, partially because I can't find anyone before getting blown up, although I will admit that I'm no better than the average player in BF3, so that could factor in. Unless I'm in a tank or jet that is. I like to pretend that I'm fairly good when it comes to using those vehicles.

I just preordered Assassin's Creed III and Halo 4. I'll take the day off the day after each of them come out I think. Both of them have online achievements. Fuck AC3's online though. Fuck it.

Also I think New Vegas is better than Fallout 3 now. Like a lot better.

It had some good features in it that would have made Fallout 3 better. The challenges were great and all the new creatures made it much more interesting. I love them both but Fallout 3 is just better.

I dunno about that. I couldn't get into New Vegas at all where as I spent god knows how long playing Fallout 3. I don't think I could even bring myself to beat New Vegas. I'll have to revisit it some day.

I felt the same way for a little while, but if you invest a few hours you'll see that NV absolutely shits on F3 in pretty much every department.

heretics! fo3 is better in almost every way. i got bored of NV as soon as i finished, but i must have played through fo3 over 10 times

New Vegas had it's features that topped FO3, I'll give it that, and it did suck me in just about as much at times. There was just something about FO3 which I'll always love more than NV. Possibly the general atmosphere of it, I'm not sure.

I never really had a problem with it. VATS was fun too, so I didn't really care.

I suppose Fallout 3 felt like a pretty unique game at the time of it's release as well, so it was a refreshing experience. Most of us played the shit out of Fallout 3 so when New Vegas came around I was pretty wore out of the whole Fallout thing I reckon. To me, it just felt like more of Fallout 3 with a new map and some new items.

If I played New Vegas before playing Fallout 3, I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up liking it more.
