Great game, but the fucked up navigation made me sell it, it's just too fucking annoying with no sense of direction.

I'm enjoying Amalur, however I think the Blacksmithing aspect of it is broken in the sense that all items salvaged yield random items. I mean, I just bought the best hammer the game could offer, salvaged the hammer I had been using before, and got the lowest level of components. I guess I expected it to be more of a "The better the item, the better the components."

In any case, it is a bloody timesink of a game. I bought it at launch and i'm still working it over just to get some decent crap/achievements

XIII or XIII-2? Since I started playing FFX again I want to get more of the FF games. Just bought X-2 and XII earlier, although they're not meant to be great. If XIII is at least somewhat entertaining I might look into them too.

XIII or XIII-2?

It's XIII-2. I really like it so far. The only other Final Fantasy games I've played are 1, 2, and some of 3, 7 and 10. The combat can be more challenging because it isn't exactly turn-based. You can be attacked while choosing your attacks, which kind of sucks, but it makes for some more epic battles and challenge. I like travelling through time, I find that aspect really cool. I'm hoping I get to meet some characters again in a future area.

Right now I'm going back in time to a boss fight that I can get 14G from to fix my score.

Man I'm craving playing something new still. I'll probably send back New Vegas and try to get something like The Witcher 2.

Might try Arkham City again, I got bored of that in about an hour.

Think I might have to invest my pennies in Xbox Live again. Kinda wanting to get the Battlefield 3 premium as well, but I don't know if it's something I'll play all that much seeing as I've not been on it for so long and my usual party doesn't really exist any more.

Also, for some unknown reason I have an urge to play some kind of racing game. Considering picking up a cheap copy of Forza 3 of splashing out and getting a copy of Forza 4, but that would mean having to pass up on the Battlefield 3 premium if I go with the latter.

Downloading the Forza 4 demo now. First time my Xbox has been turned on in god knows how long.

I'm still around Dean, and BF3 is almost the only game I play right now, so I'll always be cool to party up.

I'll let you know if I do go ahead and get it then. It's going to cost me about £66 for XBL and then Premium, and I only have about £55 right now, so it's probably going to be at couple weeks at least before I can get around to it :(

When I put it in that context, it makes me wonder if it is worth spending all I've got just to be able to play this. I don't really need XBL for any other game seeing as I'm more into playing old RPGs on other consoles right now.

Man, I really should have looked for a summer job. Just sucks to think that I could spend all I have on being able to play BF3 again or I could use that money to get at least 5-10 games for other systems. The other alternative is spending it in the pub but I've been cutting back on that big time recently. All that beer is bad for yer belly.

Like I mentioned to Kieran before, Dean, why don't you just go to a pub/inn/restaurant and see if they need someone to do washing up?

You get paid and it'll give you something else to do on your summer holidays. They're usually really informal about it too, I went in did one unpaid shift so they knew I wasn't completely retarded and only a little, then just gave them bank details and then I had a job.

Yea, I quite possibly could try something like that, but isn't it more of a younger guys thing? I know I'm not exactly that old (20), but the majority of the people there will be like 16, which would be a bit weird.

Working as bar staff might have been alright but the pubs here generally seem well staffed and I'd never work in Wetherspoons. Know a few people who have and they hated it.

Would have been cool I guess to find some sort of low hour job that I could do on occasion and not have them feel like it's a waste employing me, knowing that I'll have to quit around September. That's what put me off applying. I can't imagine many places will think it worth while to give training when they know I'll only be there for a few months, if I were to look for a "proper" job that is.

I wouldn't put it down just because you're a bit older. It is money at the end of the day, plus you'll likely not work with any of the other guys that do the job. I've never worked with the guys I share the job with, despite them being my old best friend and brother.

The chefs will probably appreciate someone who is a little older anyway. The prep-chef at my work was a washer up for 4 years until he turned about 20, so it's not a big deal.

Also +20G from Battlefield Co-Op, planning on finishing those achievements some time soon but it can be difficult.

It's good shit yo.

+30G for 10 kills with each CQ Weapon and 20G for the misc achievement on a Co-Op mission.

Strange that you don't even have to unlock them because of Gun Master. Oh well, I unlocked all but 2 of them before the cheevo popped.

Now if I get all the other Co-Op achievements it'll be a 100%, but that doesn't seem likely I must be honest.

Should be getting some achievements for the first time in a while soon. Just got a copy of Street Fighter IV for £4. Felt like playing something different and saw it going cheap. Kind of a spur of the moment thing. Maybe should have waited to see if I could find a copy of Super Street Fighter IV but for the price I paid I'm not bothered. Should be fun.

I've played the PC version at a mates place and yea, I remember struggling with it and that was using a 360 controller. The most modern fighting game that I have is something like Dead Or Alive 2. Can't think of a more recent one I own. I don't particularly play for achievements though, I just thought it would be fun to play a fighter for a change.

Basically I've just been scouring eBay for cheap titles on any system I own and if I think it'll be fun, I'll pick it up.

Finally finished the Co-Op missions. Didn't manage to do Drop 'Em Like Liquid without alerting enemies because that level is bitch anyway. But got the one for disarming the bomb in under 20 seconds.

In the nick of time - 20G
Two-rah! - 30G

Only 2 more achievements but I'm not sure as I'll be getting them any time soon.

But it's fucking awesome. I don't need to find that B2K vehicle and get 10 kills with it to unlock the MK3A1 because the gun is in Gun Master. Just have to play that a couple more times, get a few kills with all the other B2K weapons I've unlocked and I'll have that achievement. Then I'll get 10 kills with each CQ weapon and I'll have exactly 1000G in Battlefield 3.

Also all the co-op achievements are easy as hell besides that one on Drop 'Em Like Liquid.

I ain't even mad. I'm not gonna play Open Season/Cloudy/Surf's Up, and that leaves a good 2000gs available should you dare get close to me.

Just got 30g from GH: Smash Hits for performing as the drummer and beating a song on Expert+. I also think the pedal on my kit is going to snap soon :(

I'm getting worried about the pedal I got with the Pro Kit, the one with the metal plate on it. It's making different noises than it used to. Oh well, I'll phone up Mad Catz and ask for a new one if I can, still need to phone about my cymbal too.

I need some help with Dawnguard.

In the quest Unseen Visions, there's this wooden gate/door/thing that I can't open inside the Ancestor Glade. How the shit do I open this thing?

Finished Dawnguard finally, have to say I'm pretty content with it, being a vampire lord is kinda fun and I'll enjoy all the new stuff. Although my character has "god" armor and weapons, so a lot of the fun was killed. I assume my second playthrough with the Dawnguard should be more fun.

Tomorrow I begin my grind for Vampire Lord/Werewolf achievements.

I just realised how much more alive this thread has been as of late.

Just gotten out of that dead patch we were in I suppose.

Think I'll get Dawnguard for my birthday on Friday because I can't right now due to the fact I bought Premium on my Dad's card without asking and I don't think he's happy about it. Especially because my brother spent another £45 the other week.

Ah well. I'll get some money and go to GameStation and buy some points for it. Gotta love having pay day on your birthday.
