Fox News to start cutting down on mistakes and lies in 2010.

Does this mean Bill O'RLY and Glen Pecker's days are numbered?

isn't the latter opinion more than fact? if thats the case, no need to cut him since technically no lying is involved.

errors in judgment and whatnot are a different story.

Why would you want opinion shows? This draws people to instead of forming there own borrowing some idiots opinion instead. Now CNN has opinion shows too, I forgot the name of the reporter but the first time I saw his segment I was pissed off and from then on thinks he's a dick.

The real problem is that Fox is well, extremely critical of the Presidents every action, and Fox has turned into CNN or MSNBC back during the Bush years, demonizing the President at every opportunity. I don't recall any particular outcry by CNN and other news stations when Bush was kissing the Saudi Arabian king and holding his hands during a trip to there, while Fox complains about a bow.

It seems to be that when a Republican is in office Conservatives are "respect your President, even if you don't like him" but when a Democrat is in office they change there views "THIS PRESIDENT IS A TYRANT HE MUST BE KILLED!". Now I've been trying hard to maintain my stance that Conservatives are just as bad as Liberal's, but now I accept this with the exception Conservatives tend to be more hot headed.

First CNN letting Dobbs go and now Fox wants to go error-free? I wonder what MSNBC will do if they wanna follow suit.

Anyways, this seems like posturing into appearing as "reporting the news." However, I still see all of the stations as infotainment channels. Good for some laughs, maybe get one angle of the news.

I never thought I would see the day where this would happen. In fact, I was thinking most of the stuff people complained about Fox news was subjective stuff like whether or not something was good. It's both good and bad that they simply have plain errors.

Agreed. Is this what politics forum has been reduced to... a bunch of ignorant reprobates sitting around jerking off over anything that shows fault with the republican party? What's there to discuss? How does a topic like this enlighten ANYONE?

Fox is just one network, and everyone needs to quit acting like they're the only ones to ever screw up.

Look I find it totally interesting that the opposition is willing to defend Fox News while the other side is willing to condemn it.

Fox News says a lot of things wrong with Obama administration (most being blown out of proportion), but they are by far not "fair and balanced".

Also, it's not the regular news segments that most people are complaining about.

It's the painfully obvious partisan hackery that takes place outside of regular news hours. People like Glenn Beck, Hannity, Fox and Friends, Neil Cavuto and the others. Allthough I do find O' Riely for some reason to be more the voice of reason because the rest have became goddamned insane.

I also have a problem with opinion programming being associated with something called, "News".

It's a reaffirmation of already believed views by central America, Ultra-Conservatives and that fringe Independent group who are insane.

Yet, it's always the opposition who is willing to defend it which sort of just reaffirms my belief that Fox News ISN'T fair and balanced.

In the end, though, I don't give a shit because I don't watch any 24 hour cable news channels. I find them all to be torturous and I can't stand them.

I just find Fox News to be the worst out of them all. MSNBC isn't really getting the brunt of the blame because they agree with the current administration.

I can stand listening to any of em, on either side. all they do is shout down the opposing views, or use the exact same lines on everyone, over and over again. gets old quick. I do like Rush Limbaugh though, he's not nearly as bad. Not to mention Limbaugh has an odd sense of humor that I can appreciate.

Oh yeah, I agree Limbaugh is halarious.

There is nothing more funny than a joke about the military coup of the President of the United States.

Yeah! Sedition is fucking funny.

Funny thing is, and I'm sure Limbaugh is at least half-joking, you are hearing more and more right-wing groups and wonderful Glenn Beck talk about the uprising in the United States.

What happened to the Democratic process? Does everyone truly believe that Democracy is dead?

I know a lot of the liberal criticism of GW was blow out of proportion pretty much the same way it has been for Obama, but dammit I sure as hell know nobody was calling for the violent overthrow of the Presidency.

Sad.
