well for any one who doesnt want to click the link heres an over view some guy got 2 cartons of cigs and hooked it up to some water bottle vacume machine thing and lit them all then he boiled the water until all the water evaporated and what was ledt over was tar.

ok first, a few Notes:

- I smoked a cigarette during this video
- I enjoyed it
- I watched this insane man waste like 400 cigarettes on a you tube video, at 6 bucks a pack
- Then he boiled it, and behold, its sticky.

A diagnosis, by Leidolfr:

- This man is a complete loser, and his house must reek like tar and crap machinery.
- I saw 400 cigarettes, put into a jar of water, that looked like bong water after 15 hits
- then he boiled it and it became sticky, and tried to make you think "this is whats in my lungs" first,it never dries and hardens like that if it did youd be dead alot quicker. also that was a huge amount of cigarettes at one point, im not saying cigarettes are good for you, but your lungs do have some natural filtration, coughing being one of the processes therein.

in conclusion, it was a fun little video, which shows cigarettes are gross and bad for you, wow, news there, he wasted alot of money, and he proved his point in a very pseudo sciency/myth bustry way, yeah.

On topic, that's pretty disgusting, but like Leidolfr said, smoking 400 cigarettes at once is not something normal people do. Your body has ways of getting rid of small amounts of the tar. Also included in many cigarettes, there are filters which weed out a little bit of tar.

What have we learned today? Exactly nothing, cigarettes being lethal is nothing new.
And it's not like it'll keep me from smoking, chances are that due to my genetic predisposition I'll die from a heart-attack when I'm 40. The way it always has been in my family.
And besides, nobody has eternal life, at any given moment you can die from everything, so unless you set yourself a goal such as become a top athlete whether you smoke or not isn't going to heavily affect your life.

Also, please stop bashing smokers just for the sake of feeling better of yourself and because your teachers told you it's bad for you, the fact that obesity is becoming more and more common is a much bigger threat than smoking.

Is my question at the end of that. Boring video just showing "oh look bad chemicals etc in cigarettes they will kill you" There's nothing there that other people haven't ranted about for ages already. You smoke 400 and you get that tar in your lungs? great I never knew there was that side effect to smoking so much...
This hasnt done anything to make me question if I should smoke or not. Just someone trying to look big saying this drug that is labeld dangerous is in fact dangerous! Who ever would have guessed.
It's all over exaggerated anyway, countless people smoke and countless people die from lung cancer etc but also countless people do one and not the other. Countless people also die from all other things in life, smoking ridiculous amounts can kill slowly but there are countless things people do to themselves that also kill slowly and that kill a lot quicker. But everyone is always hooked on yelling about cigarettes. How long does smoking take off? 5 years of your life it was estimated? That makes is so evil!!!!

The experiment was interesting yet dull, yet also simple in the end so wasn't really worth it.
Also I am not bashing or protecting smokers, im bashing the person on this video and countless others that don't shut up about smoking being bad for you. It was old years ago.
