I had just seen Planetoid about a month ago. Good stuff. I'm actually surprised this isn't a much longer list. I feel that most things I see on a daily basis are start-up series that don't make it far.

It serves its purpose.

WOO!

I most certainly recommend these two for the best series. They are both very witty, funny, very original, have their own specefic styles, and are animated in a different way that I have not seen before. Catfat has some very nice British humor, the kind that the Monty Python group has. Gnu is very trippy and has some fantastic potential for a new kinf of comedy here on Newgrounds.

Therfore, these two are the ones I recommend.

This one was my top pick.

The reason was because it was uber clever. I lovvvvveeeeddddddd the frame by frame animation he does for each character and the part where Robin says "MR FIN!" brought a tear to my eye in an inexplainable overwhelming sense of joy and hilarity. He sets up his scenes so well and the attention to background detail was MARVELOUS! I know it is a different type of humor, but thats what makes it so great. Its nice to see something with jokes other than the typical cock and parody jokes common here on Newgrounds. Also, It is nice and long! *no cock joke intended* Originality is the key for this pick.

I chose four topics on which to judge each flash, then averaged out the scores for the overall rating.
I feel it was better/easier than writing explanations for each one.
I hope other people agree.
and I also tried to not be biased towards my own animation in the selection.

Personally I wish more sites like YouTube had a systamic and democratic weighted voteing system like Newgrounds has.
Newgrouns probably, lets face it, gets the worst, most rubbish submissions on average of any site.
However, the portal works so good, the cream of the crop rise's to the top and thats all most people see.
In some ways Newgrounds has the toughest challenge of any site, and yet does a better job then all the rest.
Id love to see the same ideas applied to YouTube and various other sites. At the moment, I never go to youtube to casualy watch something like I do newgrounds. I only youtube if I'm looking for something specific.

Rateoholic- my "review anything you can think of and it tries to correlate your tastes to other peoples" site. (-sigh- I need a better slogan....)

wow! i didn't expect to see my animation in the runnings! thanks alot everyone who suggested it :D
I really appreciate every extra view that it get's, so to be on this list is really great :)

my favourite submissions on the list would have to be:

Ordinary Man

has realy smooth animation and was funny and quirky. My only complaint would be the audio quality.

Magic Cat Mitch

Short and sweet with excellent visuals, nice :D

and finally syndacite chapter 1

Whilst very cliché, the animation ran smooth and fast and the sound effects were very powerful.

i dunno if these multiple suggestions are counter productive :S if i'm s'posed to choose one then i think my overall vote lies with ordinary man :)
