why would we want your .flps?
people who are learning FL might find them to be very helpful. Also, for remixing purposes.
I've been getting TONS of requests from people for these files for a long while. I even hosted them myself (I own creativerank.com).
See for yourself, if you want.

A more appropriate place to put these would be on your user page. Plus, if people are asking you for your project files, how are they going to know to check the forums for this topic?

good point. I figured that people on the AP who havn't heard my stuff might be able to study them, as they are quite well done. for example, "fall into the sky" is the most complex project file I have ever made. It is an 8 mb flp, containing over 45 individual tracks, about 60 or so automation clips, 30 channels in the mixer, etc.

I tried to open your chaoz fantasy remix, and my computer was dying on me. And I opened Speed of sound, and that was just chewing up my cpu like a dogtoy. Besides, I had to replace every single VSTi with one of my own and the only hint of how it sounded was your titles. They weren't bad, but I can't judge when I don't have the same plugins as you.

I mostly use Sylenth1. Others include DSK Virtuoso, DSK Choirz, dblue gl1tch, and hotelsinus Reese Bassline. Most of those are free.
Also, are you using ASIO? that should help you with the cpu issues.

I am missing the majority of the plugins and mp3s you used. Consequently, I can't listen to, or really use, any of the files. You should either upload the files and include the sounds/plugins you used, or at least mention which ones you need to run the files. At this point, they're entirely worthless to me.
A heavy bassline is my kind of silence.

Not at all! Again, I will say that the intent here is to help out beginners/anyone else who might find the content of those files useful. I am only posting the links to the submissions because people who downloaded the files were unable to hear the tracks. I am NOT using this as a method of advertising.
at least, that's not what I am trying to do. If sharing such data is somhow...wrong...then I apologize.

An FLP isn't really that helpful, if you ask me, without being functional (meaning being packaged with any vsts and samples used in the original file), and without commentary.
I can't look at your flp and know what you were thinking and why you did what you did.
I am only posting the links to the submissions because people who downloaded the files were unable to hear the tracks. I am NOT using this as a method of advertising.
But it did still come down to you linking a bunch of your songs, didn't it?

My contention is that you're not 'sharing data' in a really meaningful manner.
If you had written up an essay on even just one of these FLPs, describing your techniques, thought processes, inspirations, frustrations, hassles and what have you, I would call that helpful.
Just throwing up a bunch of flps and then later linking to the finished version of the song isn't really, in my opinion, helpful.

I've found other people's .flps to be quite helpful in the past, just without any of the sounds it doesn't provide anything educational. I don't feel that you're just trying to advertise your songs, but there needs to be more content for people to actually look at, otherwise the educational aspect of this is lost.
For example, if I wanted to look at how you mastered your drums, I can't, because the file isn't there and thus I have nothing to actually look at or learn from.
A heavy bassline is my kind of silence.

Dude, not cool. I worked very hard on those flps, one of which took me almost 2 months to finish (fall into the sky). A lot of you guys are leaving negative responses simply because you don't have all the source files, but did you ever consider the fact that I might have a REASON for not posting them? Zipped altogether, with the wavs, "Fall Into The Sky" takes up about 130 MB of space. On top of that, there are the 4 other projects of similar quantity. knowing that I am hosting these files myself, and that I am taking the time to upload them to my server so that you all can learn some things that may be helpful to you, perhaps you should be a little more gracious. Also, please take into account the fact that I am on a slow connection, and to have to upload a file of that size at 12 kb/s is a bit difficult. Also note that I have a data limit, so I would get charged for going over.

Okay. Don't get pissy that people don't appreciate your somewhat limited efforts to 'help,' this is the internet. It's not serious business.
Have you considered at least providing some commentary to the files, so that someone might actually have an opportunity to at least read about why you did whatever you did?

1. Take a joke.
2. You need to throttle back your ego just a little bit, because seriously dude, the stuff I've heard from you is well done but it's really just typical FL cheese trance, which is really nothing new or special. No offense, but there's nothing really constructive that can be taken away from looking at your project files.

I love how Ioansidi manages to criticize everything XD.
Anyway, it shows that this is an act of kindness so thanks for that, but a better way of doing it is bouncing all the VST's output to .wav and then packaging all those .wav files along with any other files you used into a .zip file or something, along with your flp. Add some comments at the beginning, maybe a few tips and pointers to how you did one thing or another, a readme file or something giving links to where people can ask you questions on your songs, maybe links to the VST's you used if you really feel kind, and it'd be heaven for beginners on FL.
That is, if you have enough time and patience to do all the above :P (I know I don't... D:)
Oh, and I can't open them, since when I tried opening the Chaoz Fantasy remix, it said it was made with FL9, and I use FL8 :(.

This thread seems completely pointless, and I'm utterly disgusted by the fact that you think you are actually helping people by doing this.
The only thing you're helping us do is realize how cocky and oblivious you are to what you're actually doing, which is advertising, as well as uploading useless FLPs with plugins that most people don't have/use.
Good day.

If you don't want the flps, then just leave it at that. There is absolutely no reason to insult me.
I'm done wasting my time trying to stand up for this thread, as you are all making it very clear that you don't give a crap.
Again, no reason for insults. What have I done to deserve such treatment? Nothing.
If you don't give a s**t about the flps, and you think that they will not be of use to you, then don't download them. Simple as that. Obviously, my hard efforts worthless to you guys, so whatever.
