Should i get it for christmas? I thinking of getting it along with Lego Rock Band (Dont comment on that) and i hear it's good. If i REALLY like it, my friend says he'll try it and if he likes it hell buy it IF IT HAS ONLINE.
Don't waste your money on Tekken 6. I found it to be the absolute worst fighting game I've ever played.
I bought Tekken 6 over MW2 expecting it to blow my mind. It did, for two days. The graphics were orgasmic and it was the same great experience that the other Tekkens gave me. Thing is though, is that it's so different from the others at the same time that you could give it a different name. The game no longer focuses on straight up 1v1 fighting, now the main focus is Tekken Force, which is now called "Scenario Campaign". In Scenario Campaign, you play as Lars Alexanderson (but you can use any other character) and you plow through enemies and bosses like in Tekken Force. This would be ok, if it was just a mini game, not the entire game. It's not like Call of Duty World at War's Nazi Zombies game where it's fun enough to be the entire game.
The customization feature is much more improved, but the fucking things cost so much that you must play Scenario Campaign a lot to buy even one item. Still, it's satisfying when you get Jack to look like a tank.
The online sucks horribly. Both players must have green connection, or the game will lag like a MAC trying to play World of Warcraft. "My personal preference for a fighting game is: when I hit the punch button, my guy punches immedietly, not five seconds later," I always say. It's not like an FPS where you could get used to it, whomever has the better connection decides the match.
I'd say skip Tekken 6 and get Street Fighter 4 instead if you're looking for a fighting game...

There's going to be a patch coming out to stop the lag.

It is good. All the matches I've played on never lagged badly where it was unplayable and most of the little bars were orange/yellowish (this was on LIVE) .
Scenerio mode is sort of boring in the beginning but you'll get used to it.
Great game if you played tekken and enjoyed it before.

Coming late October, there were two games I wanted, Tekken 6 and MW2. I bought Tekken 6 because I was more familiar with the series. I realised my mistake about two weeks later, and traded it with GHWT for MW2...
