Can any of you recommend a good software synth that can produce nice Dubstep bass sounds? If you don't know what I'm talking about, here is a good example (at 0:28)

While we're at it, who are some good dubstep artists? I'm recently getting into the genre, my favorites so far are Rusko, Nero, and Skream. To me, the grittier and darker, the better.

Anything with a tempo synced LFO. Most soft synths have that these days. Try something like Massive, Predator, Albino etc.

Awesome man, thanks. As far as the tempo based LFO goes, that much I knew, but I will definitely check out those plugins you posted. Believe it or not I got a decent sound out of the TS404 that comes with FL, but not without a fuckload of compressing, distorting, and the like. thanks for the suggestions too...I'm loving dubstep

any tips for one of them clean, sick sub basses? not so much production wise but more so mastering

The key to good sub bass is to make sure that all your low end elements aren't clashing. Give your kicks, wobble bass, and sub bass their own space in the low frequency spectrum. Your sub bass will probably be dominant in the 20hz - 60hz region, with your kicks peaking at 100hz, and your distorted wobbles sitting above that.

Benga is an awesome deubstep artist! One of the best in the UK and is good friends with scream. He personally uses Albino, but i use z3ta+.

I used Sylenth1 to make this. A good all purpose synth really.

and I don't even make this stuff.
