4.09 / 5.00 12,195 ViewsLufia was announced recently on Famitsu.com that Square-Enix will be picking up the series. Supposively it's something that's going to the Nintendo DS I believe. A new game? A port of the originals? I don't know, but i'm VERY excited that my favorite game ever, after about 13 years is finally getting some kinda exciting rebirth.
Welcome back Lufia! I hope Square-Enix takes good care of you.
Never heard of it. Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasies are what I play by Square Enix. No more no less.

I'm currently playing through Lufia II for the SNES, and must say, it's surprisingly good! I guess we'll have to see what happens with this new stuff.

I'm glad you're enjoying it. I want to replay Lufia one and two, but i'm afraid if the "new" game that comes out, will just be a port, I would have already played them recently and won't have that incentive to replay it again. So i'm holding out for a while.
Lufia was awesome for the SNES. I loved that game so much. I remember collecting all the dragon eggs twice and such. I played that game so much.
Alright, it's just been confirmed that the game being developed is in fact a remake of Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals. Yea, it was picked up my Square-Enix, but the original developers are the ones working on it. I'll try and update with some screenies ASAP. I can't seem to find any. If someone else can find them, post them if you want.
Sorry it's been a while since I updated this. (First semester of college ending with finals coming up)
Here is the official trailer for Lufia 2 (Estpolis in Japan)
It is in fact a remake of the game with tons of different innovations. I don't know about anyone else, but i'm psyched and excited about this.
