As Johnny said, pick up a pencil and just start practicing! Digital art is hard to do straight off the bat, so start by drawing by hand, and getting yourself a graphics tablet. Newgrounds is famous for its harsh criticism, and while most of it is warrented, don't let it get you down. KEEP PRACTING and when you finish something you are truely proud of, come back and post it. Scan it in. If you dont have a scanner youll have to take a picture with a cam, it wont look as good, but if you light it right and are coloring it in digitally anyways, sometimes you can get away with it
