Simple enough question, are you happy with the human lifespan, as well as the speed we grow/develop? Would you prefer to live the single digit lifespan of a gerbil? Or maybe you wish for much longer, like a Galapagos Tortoise, spanning to roughly 200 years.

Assuming your aging process would be evenly spread out over the time you live, you know, you would be going grey and have failing organs at 5 as a gerbil, or just hit adolescence in your 30s as a Tortoise.

I look forward to your responses!

I had only to wish that there be a large crowd of spectators the day of my execution and that they would greet me with cries of hate.

I think the current lifespan is pretty good. Plenty of time to accomplish a great number of things.

Another 20 years or so would be nice, but eh, nothing no one can do about it.

Lifespan huh? What is a lifespan other than the amount of time that we exist?

In itself, existence is an illusion. Simply the fact that we are aware of our surroundings and corporeal being. But aren't we also aware of our dreams? Though we are usually not aware that we ARE dreaming. Who's to say that life isn't false? That's what existence is, and by association, our lifespan. It's nothing but a dream, an illusion, something fabricated from nothing.

Though, some wish it would never end, much like many dreams that people have.

I think we all have our correct lifespan, too much living would be meaningless.

Given the fact that there are cancers for every kind of organ in our body, how there are just way too many ways to die, sure, our lifespan can make up for some of that.

I guess a good lifespan would be about 20. We wouldn't have to wait as long, and instead of 20 years of preparation before 'living' our lives, we'd forget the whole technological advances thing and enjoy what we have.

No, I'm great with the human lifespan. Because if life is too short, you wouldn't enjoy it enough. When it's too long, it just get's damn annoying.

I am not happy with how long we live, I have learned much of lifes lessons this year. More than most of you could even comprehend. And at the end of my journey, I feel pissed off that people waste the little time they have, and the things they take for granted. Life is very much way to short, if I lived to around 200 I could die peacefully. But then again, living to 200 in a world that we live in. Would probably suck.. Unless I had some crazy abilties or whatever. Then it would be fun.. but thats just my imagination running wild.

Long after we're all gone I bet they cure ageing, and some people start living incredible lifespans, and they look back at us and with mixed emotions of superiority and pity.

I remember reading that in Popular Science. 25 years, huh? So I'd be... 43, at the earliest.

I think that if indefinite aging were not an object (which it appears to be), then I'd want as much time as possible, because as time passes, more things become available to do. If I could live at least long enough to visit a human colony on another planet, I could deal with that. I think it'd be pretty cool to describe someone as having a Martian accent, or something similar.

I'm afraid of death but I think we humans are simply living too long.

Sure it's quite science that we can prolong death for years upon years but is it right? No, it's against nature.

I believe is something every other living creature uses and what we used to use before we advanced so far - Natural selection.

Saying that, of course I would want the lives of any of my family saved/prolonged by medical science. I'm not heartless enough to want any of them dead even though really perhaps we all should be a little more ruthless in terms of medicine.
