Who else likes hardcore EFFING music? Not metal, HARDCORE! metal sucks. You know what i hate? distorted phrygian scales. And METAL. But damn I love hardcore. It's so brutal and intense (when you do it right) and there's so much energy and carefreeness in it. I go to hardcore shows and i jump around and get into mosh pits (not throw-down, but real mosh where it's just good ol' shoving) and i'm pumped and having a great time.

I hate all the BRVTAL bands that take themselves seriously. it's just fun, fags! stop making it about rape and crap like that.

who else loves hardcore?
(ps i haven't listened to hardcore music in over a year i just love shows and stuff)

LotR was all about walking. Fuck even the trees walked in those movies.

If by hardcore, you mean this post-hardcore, metalcore, emo bullshit, kill yourself for the love of everything. If you mean Hardcore, as in the 80-90's punk, yeah, okay... maybe.

I invented hardcore.

Last week I played a show at House of Thor where we improvised the whole set and basically told everyone to fuck themselves if they didn't like it.

Then we drank our free beer, and spent the rest of the night trying not to get raped by fat nasty whores.

Good times.

HATE.

Do not dare lump post-hardcore with metalcore and emo. Post-hardcore is one of the best modern genres. Fall of Troy, Thursday, Dance Gavin Dance... awesome.

This is post-hardcore. How is it shit?

That is shit. Dance Gavin Dance, Thursday, and Fall of tryo all suck and are depressingly horrible. It's all emo.

Unless you are trolling, in that case, fuck I lost. I'm so out of it today.

Nah man, nah. Dance Gaving Dance does suck, but in a good way. But outright saying Thursday and FoT are shit is just stupid. The musicianship is stunningly brilliant, with songs that are crafted, not simply written. That song there is so well put together it blows my mind, and Fall of Troy can be annoying but they've found a unique niche which you can't say about too many bands.

there's a line between difference in taste and just calling it shit because you can.

What do you listen to? I really want to know, not to flame, just to know. Hopefully not the Newgrounds Three: Zeppelin, Metallica, and Floyd.

i can actually respect the music of dance gavin dance...sounds a lot better than Fall of Troy.

music is only as good as you hear it; fuck people who hate on bands just because they don't appreciate their sound.

Okay well, I can agree that the musicianship is decent, but the shitty vocals are what ruin fucking everything.
Oh, and I listen to:
Marilyn Manson, Nine inch nails, Dead kennedys (or anything with Biafra in it, Lard, and others), Ministry, Skinny puppy, Mayhem, Dir en Grey, Sex Pistols, Throbbing Gristle, The Misfits, David Bowie... a lot more, but I listen to a lot more sporadically. I have like, 4000 songs... But I hate everything that ends in core other than hardcore punk...

I used to go to hardcore shows towards the end of high school, and it's easily the worst sounding music ever live. Basically, they all turned up their amps way too loud for a tiny venue, and it just sounded like a loud bashing of instruments... not even like music.

Some dumb HxC kid almost windmill kicked me in the face, and a bunch of FSU faggot wannabe tough guys kept trying to start fights.

I never went back after that thankfully, but I did buy a Terror sweatshirt for $10 (it looked cool) despite the fact that the group sounded horrible. They're all right on CD but live is a different story. I've since lost that sweatshirt. :(

This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.

Music is not Science, its Art.

I don't categorize music. Especially not with something as vague as "Hardcore". I hear a song I either like it or not.

Definitely intriguing. His stuff like March of the Pigs is really good, and I love the Ghost albums. He's all around great, and he's a really interesting character.
