Modern Warfare 2 "No Russian"?

it felt, wrong, just gunning down all the civilians, and i wanted to just blast Makarov (thats his name?) with a whole clip from the machine gun.

the emoticon im using, is my face when i was forced to gun them down.

What formula? Run into a large, crowded building and hold down the trigger? Doesn't take a genius to figure that's a pretty effective way to kill a lot of people.

Well, when you think about it, you don't actually HAVE to gun them down, you can just walk through the airport then start killing cops at the end, at least the cops are armed.

But fuuuuuck man, how can you resist killing civillians?

I was like "awesome!!" for about 3 seconds. Then my stomache started aching and I felt bad....
I was pissed at how that guy shot you at the end too.

Well, even if they put the blood in, it would be at a reasonable level, in order to keep the realistic theme of MW, so the game would keep its M rating.

Personally, I thought the realism was shocking - injured trying to crawl away, people trying to carry injured to safety only to be then gunned down. I can't say I enjoyed shooting civilians but I did admire the technical achievement of that realism.

I don't think the media can complain about it though, it is an 18 rated game and they we're good enough to warn you before the mission. You also have the option to skip it entirely.

Didn't shoot a single civilian. I just let them do it. Obviously had to shoot the police but I tried to keep violence to a minimum on that level

You know, I never thought that it would get to me, but doing it actually did. I mean, fair enough if these guys are shooting at me, but just killing innocent AI goes against my moral code.

I still shot them all though. I threw a grenade at a crawling man. I knifed one begging for his life and I teabagged another.

It was quite a disturbing level, but I like the way it captured the people, trying to drag the wounded, crawling along the floor, a great technical achievement

Actually, I would have to say I was indifferent. I guess I'm desensitized after viewing the internet and playing video games for years. While I would never do something like that in real life, it didn't have any mental or moral weight on me.

You do far worse things in games like GTA to civilians. I think the fact that terrorism is so relevant in today's society that it hit home for a lot of people.

So was killing those countless innocents in Postal and GTA.

It felt bad to do it but I didn't cower behind my screen or anything. The worst part of that level was getting shot in the face.

but in this game the people are realistic, running for cover, crawling when shot, other people dragging the injured. it makes it seem like they are real people.

I felt worse killing the cops at the end, since they were only doing their duty to try and stop you.

I don't see why people have a problem with that scene but are perfectly fine with mowing down thousands of civilians in GTAIV.

As much as i dont care about killing in games. This one really got to me. And what did it was the fact that as a CIA operative i was trying to good for my country, yet i had to brutally slaughter civilians. If i was the actual terrorist i would have been a little less uncomfortable. Needless to say it had a huge shock factor and it left stunned and me questioning whether or not the attack on america was right.

I admit i probally killed 6 civillains
