How to beat a fan boy?

I have this friend who is a MASSIVE PS3/Sony Fan boy. I'm sure most of you have dealt with annoying fan boys before, but this guy is just fucking annoying.

So here's the thing, any game that isn't on PS3, he will automatically hate. Anything that isn't from Sony, he will automatically hate.

He wasn't always like this, but ever since he got the PS3, it's been "PS3 IS TEH BESSSTTT!!" all day.

Now don't you go on saying, "Oh you're just jealous" because I have a PS3, a Good PC, and I've played every other console selling right now.

When I told him I might get MW 2 for PS3, he was cool with it, until I told him I might ALSO get it for PC since I like to play FPS games on the PC. Immediately he does a face palm pose, in which he continues with a long sigh.

Tried arguing with him, no matter what facts you have, he will reply with the same reply, "Well PS3 is still better". What's funny and annoying at the same time is that he never supplies any facts, other than "PS3 is better".

So how can I get him to stop being such a douche bag fan boy? Anything realistic please.

There is no way to beat a fanboy. Especially a PS3 fanboy. Because of the price drop, the PS3 has lost its major flaw, and the only other real flaws are backwards compatibility, upscaling, and overheating (which is also a 360 problem).

Yeah but outside of his assholeness, he's a good friend to play with. But I have been considering that, but at the same time I'm trying not to lose our friendship. I find that very hard though.

If he really is that good of a friend for you, then just try to avoid the topic of videogames.

Also, try to trick him. Ask him about any PS3 game he likes that used to be an xbox exclusive.

You can't beat a fanboy. His immense faith in his system's superiority gives him strength to stand up to any criticism, valid or not, aimed at his console of choice. I should know, I used to be a Nintendo fanboy. Nothing could change my mind about Nintendo superiority until I decided on my own to go outside my comfort zone. Now? Well, I still prefer Nintendo's franchises for the most part, and I honestly don't like the first-person shooter genre or the dull gray-and-brown graphical style inherent in most popular games, but I own a 360 and can see why people like it. Similarly, your fanboy will have to make his own decision to leave fanboyism behind him, you can't do it for him.

Well, for MW2, you could tout the PC's unique "custom stuff like mouse control, text chat in game, and graphics settings."

For most PC games though, the PC version will be superior in every technical way. If he still says "PS3 is better" then he isn't arguing; he's just saying words, and you won't be changing his mind.

Hey everyone, I've been reading all of your feedback.

Some of you suggest that I just let it be, or find another friend. Well outside of gaming, he's a good friend to talk to. But the conversation is usually about gaming (Yeah I know...) so it's hard to avoid that if it's all to talk about.

Some others suggest I try to beat some sense into him. Showing him other awesome games from other consoles until I break him. I like your style, but I've tried. Like I said before, no matter what you do, he will keep his same excuse and use it over and over again. Hell, he won't even touch a controller that isn't a PS3 controller.

Some of you...want me to beat some sense into him, literally. Well I'm not that mean.
