You desire substantially less government control of personal activity and somewhat less government control over economic activity than is presently the case in the U.S. I used to classify this area as part of "Moderate Libertarian;" but got many objections; I guess calling you a moderate libertarian is akin to calling a liberal Democrat a "moderate communist.;"

Your views would be best represented by a mix of Libertarian and Democratic representatives-assuming that it was possible to get a significant number of Libertarians elected. The Libertarian Party is still dominated by people far more radical than you though there is an ongoing effort to make the LP more inclusive and less radical. If you have the patience and willingness do deal with infighting, you may want to join this effort.

For the most part it's accurate; although I think I am a bit more conservative on economic issues. I like the free market.

Long story short, your platform isn't dissimilar from the Democratic Party in the U.S.. Socially, you believe in the right of people to keep their personal lives personal and do as they like, but with reasonable limitations to keep some from of orderliness. So since a few people have posted here (even though I'm in the wrong forum...boo hoo), I'll go ahead and reveal that I too was rated a Left-Leaning Freedom Lover. And apparently there's no party in American politics right now that fully supports that ideology. Which is why the maker of the assessment, a moderate libertarian himself, decided he wanted to organize one; personally I think that's a good idea, since our government is supposed to represent a full range of views, and since (as much as I hate to say it) independents seem to have trouble building a strong political base in major elections.

Well, I expected as much, and I'm happy to say that my results are consistently within this range. I do believe that it's extremely important to have some degree of government intervention in the economy, but in all matters of personal freedom except guns, I believe in the government taking a hands-off approach. By the way, this site has a terrible color scheme and an even worse font choice. I mean Bauhaus 93? Seriously? In the year 2009? In the era of Web 2.0? Ugh.

I'm afraid to say but I can't be an American political party. I can however be a Canadian one. I would have to say NDP.
