In this topic, post some of the most beautiful or incredible architecture that man has made.

I'll start with Falling Water, by Frank Lloyd Wright. One of the most incredible works of architecture by the greatest architect ever. The house is absolutely beautiful on the outside and inside. I saw it recently with my family and we took a tour of it. It was phenomenal.

What are your favorite works by man, whether ancient or modern?

And if I put the word, "boobs" in the title, this topic would have 800 views by now.

Yes, but I thought this topic would be about beautiful men, so it's really just a downer for everyone.

There was a book of bridges in my library that just has pictures of bridges, and the damn thing is three feet long, so we used to put it on one of the head height shelfs and watch people run into it.

Oh god, good times.

The Roman Coliseum is pretty badass. The thing took 10 years to build and was used for over 400. And a thousand years later it's still mostly standing.

I was watching some film in history about WWI, and they had footage of the Coliseum, kind of nuts being able to see that same structure just shy of 100 years old, then you start thinking about how much farther in the past it has been, they did a good job on it, I must say.

I had only to wish that there be a large crowd of spectators the day of my execution and that they would greet me with cries of hate.

The only architecture that holds my attention is Baroque. And the "crazy" architecture with non-Euclidean geometry that looks like it comes out of an HP Lovecraft novel.

Anyway, here's an interior of St. Louis City Museum, made out of recycled junk. It's really quite beautiful on the inside.

I think that it should be renamed to that so that everyone will know what it is.

also, I would like to see the Dubai tower, just to witness it's sheer size.

Crazy Ludwig may have been utterly bonkers, but he had some gorgeous castles built.

Neuschwanstein is gorgeous, and inspired Walt Disney.
