I swear to god, someone is blamming one of my friends' songs. I am not going to specify names. Because then I will be reported for victimizing and then if I say my friends' username then he will be blammed even more. But are they illegal on NG? are blam groups kinda outlawed? or do they allow them? Because my friends score dropped from 4.20 - 3.36 in just 20 minutes. I refreshed the screen everynow and then and the score kept going down. Heck, the score is probably even lower right now. What should I do? I told him to talk to Wade about this and he did. but is there anything else I should do?

In the audio forum, I've never seen mods talk about any steps that can be taken other than you and your friend's fiving it yourselves, nor to PM the mods either. There's nothing they can do.

4 or 5 low votes doesn't necessarily mean that they're 0 bombing it. Scores often times start high and then drop substantially as more people vote on it. In the audio portal, 5 votes of two or three will bring a 4.20 score down pretty quickly, especially if the voters have high voting powers.

There is literally nothing you can do. Though you can accept the fact that scores mean nothing. If your friend cared enough about his music for people to listen to it, he'd talk to flash artists to use his stuff in their animations, not just 5 his songs every day in hopes that it will hit the top lists.
This is pure, assisted self-destruction
The high pieces tend to get blammed just for having a high score. And it could be one person proxying that has a grudge, or a combination of the two. Who knows. Just five the fuck outta your stuff until they get tired and stop.

no his songs don't just suck. He had like 50 listens and 12 downloads. I remember the number. and the score is down to 3.11 now.

With 50 listens any vote lower than it's current score is bound to hit it like a rock. It could just be that people are hitting 2's and 3's.

I doubt it's a blam group.
The Audio Portal doesn't really see a ton of voters like the flash portal. Within 20 minutes of submission you would probably only really expect maybe 10 or so votes, and even so if say, five were 0's and the other five were 5's it'd still only come up to about 2.5 or so. Basically one user with a decent voting power can completely destroy a new song if he wanted to.

Meh people rate low on my stuff at times. I don't really care though because a score on Newgrounds doesn't mean much really. As long as I like my stuff I don't care what other people think.

The fives completely dominate the zeros.
A flash requires 1.60 from an average of 200 votes to pass completely.
100 fives and 100 zeros = an average of 2.5

oh no they are not. with14 votes to 4.20-3.85, 15 votes from 3.85-3.51 to 16 votes and then to 3.32 with 17 votes, and then to 3.11 with 18 votes and someone saved him up to 19 votes. Just calculate the math. You'll get it. and there were previous zerobombings that were partially but badly blotted out by constant fives

yeah, it was wayyyyyyy after if was off the newest submissions. Like 5 hours after I think. OH well I can't remember that well but all I know is that it was wayyy past being on the front pages and newest submissions list before it got blammed.
