Today in RE, my teacher (Who used to be a monk, but got kicked out of the monastery) started talking about demons and stuff.
Believe in God or not, having a class on demons is pretty fucking cool right?
Well yeah, he was telling us about how his friend got possessed once and had to be exorcised.
Craaaaaazy shit.
Anyone else ever hear about this stuff? Because it's all new to me.

I've heard about it and all, but I never really figured it was actually practiced, and that if it was, it died out years ago.

What exactly does RE stand for? Is that some kind of church school? Anyway, I choose to ignore all of that and I simply do not believe in Hell or demons. How can I call myself a Christian when I don't? Well, I just think of it as being metaphors. After all, Jesus spoke in metaphors. You should try indoctrinating that theory to other people.

You really just hafe to be careful, especially who you go to. Because if you go to the church, they wud wanna perform an exorcist. If you go to certain therapists, they'll mark you down for different things(e.g. schitzophrenia,). But you really have to look at behavior. Studying and looking these things up can help to tell the difference

And, if you take that argument that the bible is full of metaphors, how do you know god isn't just a metaphor used in the bible for something else? You believe in him and not hell.. but why is that?

Want the truth? You pick and choose exactly what aspects of your religion to believe in. When one bit is used as a common anti-Christian argument (such as the concept of hell's incompatibility with a benevolent creator), or is defeated by scientific fact, you disregard it and write it off as 'metaphor', despite having no real basis for such a change, in regards to all the other changes you didn't make for less controversial passages of the bible/aspects of Christianity, because hey, no one cares about that right?
