Newgrounds MW2 dedicated server

Do you play MW2? On your PC? Awesome! I'm thinking of renting some server space for us NGers to play in, but I don't know how many of you are interested. Who wants it?

Yeah the only way I'm getting this game is about two years after release where its cheaper so I can play the single player.

But who knows, maybe someone will hack the game and allow some dedicated server support.

^^This will probably happen, like how I see a modder putting LAN support back into StarCraft 2 when it is released. Its most likely going to happen.

Well yeah, I don't see how 402 is that oblivious to his fans. He obviously cares what people think and he left out a main feature that's supposed to put the PC version above the consoles.

I agree with this. To be honest, I don't understand why they're taking out dedicated servers at all. They should be adding Dedicated server support for consoles, if they're attempting to do the whole "universal approach" they seem to be harping on about.

Rest assured that while it may sound like a completley wanky decision, it was made by a bunch of people who are paid to make this kind of decision. We are not those people.

No, I don't agree with the decision. I think it's totally missing the point and I'd much rather they improve console online play to meet the PC rather than vice versa, but it's not like they just flipped a coin and shrugged their shoulders and logged onto twitter and told the world that we were sucking their dick for shit all. This wouldn't have been a decision they took lightly. Clearly we're just all wankers that don't deserve shit from them.
