Wine is a great app, which lets you run almost every windows program.
Just Google will suffice.

Wine runs about 2/3 of windows programs with a reasonable level of reliability. And it comes pre-installed on Ubuntu, so you just have to turn it on.(just google wine and click the first result to find out how)

OR you can remove that hard drive with ubuntu installed and replace it with a hard drive from the thrift store with a REAL OS like windows installed.

Especially when most programs are made for HP, Compaq and many others. Apple, like Linux, has limited programs too as only Apple and Linux create their own software and not user-friendly.
