It seems like something that could be made into an episode of The Twilight Zone. It's such a simple, yet ridiculous concept for a movie and I don't think it will be any good.

Agreed. That was a horrible move on the part of the makers of that trailer. I watched the trailer thinking it probably wouldn't be any good, and then the Saw theme came on. That's where the trailer lost the rest of what little credibility it started out with.

UPDATE

Just got back from the movie, and honestly, I loved it.
The whole time through, I was thinking "This reminds me a lot of Donnie Darko", and sure enough, credits come up "RICHARD KELLY" :D

Well anyway, it's a movie that you'll like if you liked Donnie Darko. Also reminds me of "The Monkey's Paw" and "The Nightmare Box" from "Haunted" by Chuck Palahniuk.

The trailer doesn't begin to cover what the movie is actually about. It's really great and I heartily recommend it.

Actually was one of the most unexpectedly weird movies I've seen in a long time. It's a decent movie, but completely not what I had expected. I think I would have liked it more if it wasn't so freakin weird and confusing.

It isn't just that the woman pushes the button, and then the rest of the movie they face consequences based on the victim dying, as someone might expect. The button itself was a moral test for whoever had the choice. Whoever pushes the button must be tested more.
The movie also has lost of Sci-Fi going on, which may seem a little odd, but it didn't bother me too much.
Actually, the whole thing is pretty weird. You need to really be paying attention or you might get confused. You'll know what this is like if you've seen Donnie Darko.
