Religion is annoying.

I had people come up to me at my house yesterday and when I opened the door they handed me a pamphlet. It talked about religion. I then told them that I didn't want to convert, but they insisted upon telling me the wonders of god. I then told them "The cake is a lie and so is god" and then slammed the door on them.

Has anyone else on NG had this problem?

That's pretty rude of both of you guys. I mean you just slammed the door on them and basically said that the greatest thing they can think of is fake. But then again, they shouldn't be intruding upon you after you say no. So basically both of you deserve timeouts.

Yeah a 2 Jehovas witnesses came up to my house 2 days ago, now not being a total dick i let them talk until they told me they dont believe in military service or bloodtransplant or medicine or any of that stuff

ok so they dont belive in Military service as in the wont join and dont support the troops that fight for the right of them to direspect them like that

and the dont beleive in medical care of any kind if one of their kids gets a cut they dont sanatize it or anything they just leave it like that if the child is meant to die from that cut or diseas or any of that the nthechild will die if not the nthey wont.

I do hate it when other christians try to convert others against their will - what happened to respecting the beliefs of others? Christians simply shouldn't try to convert - I mean, if someone is to truly believe a religion, then it should be with their own thought process as we're not in a fucking communist country - democracy rules and all that jazz.
