I just beat Megaman X.

To get the X Buster upgrade early, defeat Wire Sponge first and go to the alligator dude's stage. This is kind of hard to get to the capsule, keep trying.

This game is much easier, you shouldn't have a problem with it.

Sigma is must more easier and so is his last form. I just used the X-buster on Sigma's first form. It's very easy to dodge his attacks, and for Sigma's final form, use Centipede's special attack.

If you don't get all of Zero's parts, you'll have to fight Zero in the final stage, if you get all his parts you won't fight Zero, but you'll get a cool Black Zero at the end which later gets destroyed.

Abuse your weapons the best you can. Magnet Mine works well with big, bulky stationary mooks. The Wheel, use it for enemies below you, and the Bubble charge for places with Goddamn bats.

X2 is one of the weaker in the series, I suggest X3, or X4. X5 is lackluster, X6 is meh, anything after that dont play

As soon as you start Wire Sponge's stage go to the left and wall jump up the wall you will get a free heart tank

The Tatsumaki-Senpu kyaku wasn't in X3, literally in X1 there was an upgrade that allowed Megaman to do a Hadouken and in X2 was was able to do a Shouryuken with a certain upgrade, no Street Fighter reference was made in X3 if I recall.
X4 on the other hand...

I only remember shouryuken being in X2. I dunno, I've only played X1 and 2.

Anyways, I don't really have any tips for X2. But def beat Wiresponge first.
