It's not as bad as you think. Seriously. You can get good weed for cheap. Jobs are not an issue here. Everything is much more cheap here. Also, where else can you find bootlegged shit sold in shops? Seriously, when I bought my PS2 Guitar Hero Guitar in 2008, they gave me a free BOOTLEGGED copy. And you can buy fake shirts pretty much anywhere. It's something to get used to, but once you get used to it, it isn't so bad. Oh, and any drug you'd buy here would be more than 2x the price if you bought it in the US.

Haha - so you go to a 3rd World Country as a wealthy outsider, buy a bunch of inexpensive, illegal items and decide that life in that society is "not all that bad"?

Try having no money and trying to live in that 3rd World Country. I'm sure you would have more appreciation for the struggles the people go through on a daily basis then.

Great, now try doing all of that while using cow dung as a blanket and your shelter being half of a trash cans' metal.

Yup. Really isn't too bad at all. Not that different from 1st world countries. Things are usually cheaper (Except stuff that's imported, such as video games and movies) and bootleg is all legal.

Dude, I was born here. I have had a lot of friends who live on the streets. It only took a few years for their parents to get their life. And me too. My parents have kicked me and my brother out of the house numerous times. We've slept on the sidewalks. But usually, we'd find a place to sleep in our friends house when that happens. The country's small, so, it's easy to just use public transportation, and sometimes, just walk.

I lived in Kuwait as a kid, but that doesn't really count because Kuwait is fairly wealthy.

I lived in Thailand fairly recently, but I was there as a negotiator for my company so I didn't generally get to see the real Thailand, just the rich people we were negotiating with.

Do you live in an actual third world country? And if so, which one? Speaking of which, this reminds me of something, is there such a thing as a second world country? I would like to know what countries would fit under this category.

Oh, I've done some research and I found out that second-world country apparently referred to the Soviet Union, which I think is strange, seeing as how they were rivaling the USA's power, and I would think the term would apply to a country that has okay development but not a world power.

The second world usually refers to the communist world eg Eastern Europe, the former USSR and China. But now in the post communist era the term second world is just unused.

Most people living in 3rd world countries have bigger problems than how much a stupid plastic guitar costs. You shouldn't be ignorant enough to post crap like this seeing as how you (allegedly) live among people like this.

And another good point about 3rd world countries (like, as you explained, the Philippines, read the fucking posts you people!), you don't need a deal for your song to be heard! You just need talent. When I went over to countries like the US, they have some shitty songs played on the radio. But here in the Philippines, alot of it is pretty good. Also, like I was saying, you don't need a deal, you just need talent.... and a car, to bring you to radio stations to have your songs listened to. First you go local, then you go international, and there you are. A broke ass mother fucker from the Philippines to a rich as mother fucker living in a mansion.... in the USA...

Currently, I live in a third world country and it's dreadful. Everyone around me is unable to get a job because there simply is no businesses left. What few jobs there are, are for low pay. There's gangs which go about beating up random people just to keep society in check and full of fear. The government is corrupt and under a guise that they do care about us. The prices of food keeps rising yet the wage amount is falling.

It's so hard living in England.

Yeah, and it's so easy living on streets, isn't it? Jesus, there are a lot of good things about the Philippines, but you don't think there's a bad side to all of this? You ain't looking at the big picture. I've also had a lot of bum, beggar, squatter friends... It's people like you that make me sick.
