This looks more like a sketch than an actual piece of work. Why art the lines so messy? Well I guess that's just your style.

You do know that those weird angles are not making your job any easier right?

Painting and painting in photoshop are not so different.

you should start by blocking EVERYTHING in, and then working on smaller and smaller details as you progress.

yes this is what I should do. I have painted before with acrylics, not much though. I will try to do broad to small now.

And the black lines are a preliminary sketch. The paint will go over it. And the angle of the picture is an artistic choice

dont do things like this yet, i cant imagine you drawing a proper person on a level plane, drawing them at such angles were perspective also plays a part is defiantly to far ahead for you. Learn the form and you will be able to do that sort of stuff

OK, for starters your face is off try and study the structure of the face and it's anatomy. secondly you can get a more painty look by shading in photoshop at 100% opacity and using the eyedropper to catch the in between shades to transition your values. ( a great tutorial explaining the technique here, Photoshop tutorial ) Resulting in a more crisp and sharp edges in your paintings. Above all, keep practicing your fundamentals no one can ever be to good at them. I hope that helps.
