Sims 3 - Worth it?

So awhile ago my computer got a virus and I had to get a new computer, no problem there except for my Sins 2 stuff. My boyfriend saved all my documents on an external hard drive but I don't know if I load Sims 2 back up if it will be the same, plus I had gotten some of the expansions borrowed from friends.

I've wanted Sims 3 when it came out awhile ago because of how customizable it looked but now I'm "Ehh."

Have any of you played it?

If I had all the sims 2 stuff still on my computer no, but I too had my memory wiped. Starting again, it's better with sims 3 because it has some aspects of all the expansions, just not everything.

Best aspects?

Eh, there's pretty much loads to do. It'd take me a while to list it all, but you won't run out of stuff.

Worst aspects?

The whole "active family thing". It just overcomplicates it. Also, times too slow.

Just play the Sims 2. Sims 3 is a major disappointment.
