I've always wanted to buy TF2 on the pc, because frankly, the Xbox version sucks and I am by far aware that the PC version is superior, but I was always wondering if my PC would be good enough to run it, because it never was really that great, it didn't really run Left4Dead that smoothly, and it frankly doesn't even meet the minimum requirements for Left4Dead2.
Specs:
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nforce430
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm)8450 Triple-Core Processor

If more specs are requested, I'd be willing to post them if more information is needed.

The easiest check is to just go to www.canurunit.com, and look up TF2. It scans your computer specs, so it will be far more accurate as to whether you can play it or not than we can be.

One thing to keep in mind is that it's not exactly accurate, but it is a good indication.

Unless I'm very much mistaken, that graphics card is an integrated one.. it won't run any games very well, TF2 not being an exception. I strongly suggest you buy a new graphics card because other than that your PC should be fine for gaming. A budget gaming card would work great, an nvidia 9600 or something along those lines (maybe an 8800 if you can find one).

Ugh, AMD and integrated graphics. I really couldn't give you an "expert" opinion, but I'd say you should be able to run tf2 on minimum.

Also, whats the CPU's clockspeed (Example: 2.8Ghz)

Yeh, but he has got enough processing power on top of that.

Seriously from my experience, I've got so much processing power that I can run UT3 smoothly on nearly high graphics, and I only have a Radion X550, I can run TF2 on top graphics and have enough memory left over to play the Sims 2. That's on 2 gig of RAM, but with 2 processors of 3GHz. He'll be fine with TF2 as it is!

Graphic cards arn't everything.

Oh, my mistake.

Tell us that, because I'm not sure if anything below 3GHz will cut the last slice of the cake.

Lawlz at your question. My computer has it's chipset still, and I can still run it on medium. Of course I have a 2.8 Quad Core Proccessor. It kind of rapes hard, and can run all I have but Halo and Titan Quest on very high. It can't even run Titan Quest....

my comp isnt supposed to run l4d on minumum specs, but i play tf2 with max settings with no problem. infact, it even plays l4d2 demo on medium specs with minor fps problems once in a while, and plays it smoothly on low, so i think your computer can support it.

Just like what others said: the graphics card is pretty bad, and you should replace it. The ram is more than enough, but I'm not sure about the triple core. I have QUAD Phenom cores with a great ATI card, and it integrates smoothly, but I heard some pretty bad stuff about triple cores, such as they are unbalanced and you're better off with dual cores than with triple. It should run TF2 though.

I'd change your graphics card before you attempted to run TF2, but otherwise, I think you would be fine.

get it, and go into the games properties and type "-dxlvl 81", makes it run smooth as shit, but makes the game look rather bad
