What are the best methods to learn how to draw anime? What are some good sources online that could help me learn how to draw anime? I have a really good idea for a flash series, but first I need to learn how to draw anime...(sometimes I think I may be thinking ahead of myself. :P)

You could probably get a book or something from barnes and nobles, those might help you a little. You might be able to find some videos on youtube, but I'm not that sure how much those would help you.

R.I.P Kitty Krew ;_; and also cock joke.

I find that Mark Crilley's work is very good. He makes a lot of instructional videos.

Start off by learning how to draw regular people.

Once you've got basic anatomy down, you'll have a much easier time learning how to mess with it in a believable way.

I move him with my thumbs. He needs my guidance, though I am not the only one.

i'm an amateur artist. for me it was best to practice both extremely unrealistic cartoons, and extremly realistic human faces. then slow combine them both. but thats how it worked for me.

Oh I love drawing. First off, you don't need tutorials. I say this because no one can really teach You how to draw. Sure, they can teach you basics, like anatomy and proportions. But learning yourself opens so many windows. You find your own style and it can become truly unique and part of you.

So what I do is visualise.

With a blank piece of paper, shut your eyes and think hard of what you want to see on the page. Do this frequently and you'll see outlines in your mind that just don't exist in real life. The skill is transferring this to paper.

Your first attempts might be poor. But you will eventually get into the hang of visualising what you want to see, and bit by bit your skill at transferring it to paper will be achieved.

1. Find a picture of the style you want to imitate.
2. Trace picture.
3. Learn the basic concepts of the style via the tracing.
4. Draw.

Assuming you already can draw more than a stick figure, that is. Otherwise you might want to Googel "how to draw _____" and read up a bit. Then it's just a matter of practice.
