Lol, thanks for stereotyping. But everytime I see someone doing so, I just laugh at the fact that the ratio of drug users in other countries is way bigger than here in the Netherlands. In fact, America has more drug addicts than here in the Netherlands, if you judge it fairly by ratio.

[ Mien auto is kapott ] {My Car is Broken}

Now your translator just broke, that's half Dutch half German.
"Mien" is an unknown word in Dutch, it more sounds like the German "mein" for "my". "Kapott" is spelled with one 't'. Though we don't intend to some 'kapot' when something isn't working, like you're breaking glass, means the broken glass and is translated as "het kapotte glas".
The correct Dutch translation would be: "Mijn auto is stuk" or "Mijn auto is kapot".
The German translation however would be: "Mein Auto ist kaputt". See, half German half Dutch translation. ;)

You already had me wondered why you were living in Somalia (lol) and still have a German (nick)name.
Good thing they teach us German in the Netherlands. If you're living in the West of Germany, near the Dutch border, I think they should teach you some Dutch. Heck, in some ways it's almost similar to German and/or Danish.

Haha, now that is awesome! For some reason you do mix up a lot of German grammar and spelling in it, but it also seems like the old Dutch, still spoken in South-Africa. You know that too? :)

Yeah, Plattduutsch is just "low German" which is alot of dialects, one of which being afrikaans, though afrikaans is more directly from dutch., what you mean, and yes i understand mostly but uhmm, yeah...... lol

I also understand Amish, lmao, yeah, they call their language Plautdietsch, or, just Plaut...again, yeah...

I heard a radio broadcast once on some site, and, i said, wait a minute, and i listened, and i thought well....thats fucked up, but i understood it, and yeah, later i found out it was amish.

The Platt I speak is actually northern schleswig platt, theres also saxon, baerish, ummm, frisian, freese, lol, etc etc etc

Most interesting. I am from the Frisian region from the Netherlands. It's even an older language than Dutch itself and they say it was the first viking language which later on moved to Denmark and the Scandinavian regions. The original vikings origined from the province Friesland in the Netherlands.

It's actually most fascinating to see someone from the African continent being aware of the older languages here in the Northern of Europe. Perhaps you have lived in Europe for a little while?

Yeah, Schleswig Holstein was actually the first viking fort in germany, uhh, what it was, Old norse was the main language, especially amongst seafaring traders, however, with there being no actual unity amongst viking tribes other than a common main language, most also spoke a particular dialect, or another, which of course, became all the different languages/Dialects, such as, well, Dutch and German.

what I learned from plattduusch is, like you say, there were old languages that were very close, and over time the changed to be starkly different.

lol, yeah, Im not Somalian, Im from uhh, Maine, yeah...
as for being European, umm, Im Mostly German and irish by blood, but im from here, and well, im lots of things, Im ACTUALLY German Irish Norwegian Swedish and Passamaquoddy [ Peskotomuhkatay ]

The original vikings origined from the province Friesland in the Netherlands.

now that depends on how far back youd like to go, because most have reached an agreement that viking were originally from, the middle east of course, and went through the caucasus [ over a long time, of course ] into northern india, on into western europe, where they went to southern sweden, and settled there, and then expanded out from there. so yes, they were "from" friesland, but in all fairness it was one stop of many, as far as history is concerned, id say most people think sweden when they think viking, and, of course norway, because norway was a dominant force, even amongst vikings

So I can conclude you're just one weird mix up.

Agreed. But, the history of these regions can be resembled, since they are so alike - even nowadays with the dialects and nouns. Of course, if you trace back the entire human history you'll probably end up with the ancient Sumarian civilization and we're all the same. At least we have the same structure, yet some of us adapted to their environment (some people can withstand bare colds, are more muscled, etc.). The only difference that occured in the long run of human is probably the evolutionary rise and extension of the Neanderthal. Their structure was actually different than the 'normal' human being back in the days.

HIstory is fascinating. :)

Agreed. But......The only difference that occured in the long run of human is probably the evolutionary rise and extension of the Neanderthal. Their structure was actually different than the 'normal' human being back in the days.

Yeah, theres alot of debate, as to if humans actually share bloodline with Neanderthal, its almost a 50, 50 devide. I think we share relation to neanderthals, it seems obvious to me, infact.

as for sheer environmental evolution, true our features adapt to the environment in which we're placed, but, in the case of the norse, things like, say blue eyes for an example, were a sheer genetic fluch, and i think this is due to isolation and, not incest, but, the same type of genetics being swapped around so much.

consequently, ive read that all blue eyed people share a common ancestor, a man from Denmark, and they determined this, because, say two people have brown eyes, though they have the same eye color, different strands of their dna were changed, where as the blue eye mutation occurs in the same strand for all blue eyed people [ Green eyes have the blue mutation, but other mutations on other strands that determine shade of green ]

HIstory is fascinating. :)

Yeah, we're all very fascinated with things we cant have or be apart of, as humans, and, i think the allure is we know we're here, but we dont know how or why, and, since we dont know the future, we try to understand where we started, as a means to where we're going, this may or may not be a flawed concept, lol.

Fun fact: I have a rare colour of green eyes. My mother has blue eyes and my dad brown. Guess that explains the mix up. They do say the green eyes are most common in the Middle-East.
Another fun fact: In Greek mythology the gods always had green eyes, because they were so rare.

Also, the typical viking had red hair and blue eyes. Where did the red hair came from?

yeah thats cool, I actually know a German/Indian [ Native American ] who has, literally half green and brown eyes, like, on each eye, one half of the circle is green, the other is brown.
I actually have Grey/Blue eyes

Another fun fact: In Greek mythology the gods always had green eyes, because they were so rare.

Yeah I dont know if this is just narcissism, but I think all Humans like Blue/Green eyes, deep down.

Also, the typical viking had red hair and blue eyes. Where did the red hair came from?

well, this is mostly inference, but, the celts [ Druids, Gauls, at the time ] had been known for red hair, and, you can tell by global positioning that the norse and druids mated [ im a living example, germany ireland sweden and norway are all a boat ride away from eachother ], either through rape or just pure social assimilation. im not sure what the mutation is for red hair, or why it happened, im guessing somehow it lets in more light, just like blonde hair does, but, i think blonde does it better, hence more people from cold regions are blonde than redheaded.

There are still so many things to be discovered on our own planet, so that means there are unlimited facts to be discovered if we look beyond our planet. :)

I have 2 main theories on life past this planet, and they are:

1 - when we think alien, we think higher intelligence, I think due to sheer numbers there must be life elsewhere, but they are just beings, theyre either germs, animals, even human like beings, but they probably all look up at their sky from their little rock and say hmm, i wonder whats out there. as far as humans understanding of physics is concerned....its impossible to travel at the speed of light, or anywhere near it, and if we cant, we'll never get anywhere in the universe, its all too far away.

2 - If we do ever meet Aliens, that are smart enough to reach us, we're in trouble, If human history has tought us anything, its that the true nature of things is Violence, and greed, over actual progress, progress is a subsequent result of our greed and own need to better our own lives.

Very interesting again. I have once read about the theory called the "Multiversie" - sorry for still linking to Wikipedia, I know how inconsistent the source can be.
It's fascinating to read that there (theoretically) can be parallel universes. And the ground reasons of this theory are simple: the entire universe has the same laws, everywhere. So it's most likely there are indeed other living forms out there, with the exact some conditions we're living in, since they have the same physical laws applied. Heck, they might even look like us. Though this is relative, just like Einstein has proven with time.
And I assume the 'aliens' have the same natural instinct just like the humans, which is survival. Humans are capable of making the weirdest (irrational) decisions, just to stay alive. History has shown that.

Ok let's start with something simple.

#! usr/bin/perl
print "Hello, World!";

That is how you say Hello World in PERL remember the semicolon at the end the second line or it won't work.

This is the type of language we are talking about, right?
